    Happy birthday! No need to prolong the inevitable, we are all getting older. Don’t wake up one day and say “wow I’m 74, where did the time go? Seem like just yesterday I was 30.

    Heck, I remember when I was in my early-to-mid 50's and all I could (and did) accomplish when I bought this house. I hired someone this fall to do something and I was telling him how just 10 years ago I would have done it myself but now I'm more mindful of falls and how slow I move compared to then - and I wanted the small project done before the snow fell. Doesn't hurt that now I am financially stable, so I have less urgency or incentive to do everything myself, so I can pick and choose what I want to do

    All of you are reminding me of years past. I turned 81 two months ago. Wife and I met young and married young. We had 58 1/2 very happy years together. Two weeks from today will mark 3 years since I lost her. That hurts. But I still remember the happy years and like you, I remember the work I used to do and wish I still could do it.

    My parents are 60 years in January 2nd.

    dad is mourning that mom has been in memory care now for 3 years.
