Amazing how your memory gets jogged from time to time. I also worked for a company that didn't hand out paychecks on time. No announcement, just never got paid. The workforce ( a very blunt workforce at that ) let management know they would have no workforce unless we had our paychecks. Never did get an explanation that didn't smell right. The next step was getting paychecks that were postdated. this went unnoticed until we got to the banks. then, everyone checked them regularly. This company was also eventually bought out by a fortune 500 company. When I signed up for social security, it showed the decades of income earned every annual. There was on year that showed no social security was paid for employees. I contacted social security and asked about it. They said we are aware of it; no one had income for that year. Social security also had no response when I asked if that is against the law and are they going to do anything about it?
I had the same thing happen with me. My social security showed no income and when I questioned it I was told it isn't there job to collect the money. They would have allowed me to let them know how much I earned that year so they could accurately determine my benefits when the time came.
They told me they averaged it out between the previous and the later year. I said that was the year we didn't go anywhere because I was working overtime the whole year.......
I have a 1/2” Haldex A450 liner in the tub. these are the rip rap we’ve been hauling. This is the dings they’ve put into the tub popping the paint. And yea, this is a brand new trailer ETA… This is on the OUTSIDE of the tub. This is the project it’s for. Home | Metro Flood Diversion Authority there’s been 70 truck hauling every day I was told. Three loads per truck. About 20 yards a truck. Works out to about 4000 yards supposedly, it’s not enough trucks.
Watching/betting the Breeder's Cup at Kentucky Downs. Guys are already losing their minds and arguing with each other lol. That's the best part for me, people watching and having a smoke. I look over and this guy's in up to his wrist. I'm making sure I don't use the machines he's using..
One sunday just before mass began, 99 taps me on the arm and whispers to look at the guy sitting off her right hand side. Yup, he's got one buried up to the first knuckle!! I laughed and said remember that when its time for the handshake of peace!! Pre-covid but still funny. oops....can I say covid without triggering anyone?
Sprained my ankle today. First time ever. Dogs dug a hole in the garden and I found it with my right boot. It isn't too bad, but definitely not something I want to do again.
Can't like that, hope you heal up quickly. Back in September cracked the screen on my T-Mobile phone. Been dealing with their stupid insurance company since. Second email said how I qualified for a "snap upgrade". Didn't want that as I only asked for the screen to be replaced. Went to a store and they said the upgrade was bogus as most promotions can give a better deal. Finaly on the first I got them to agree to the screen and I paid the deductible as well as set up an appointment for today to get it replaced. Next day I get emails saying phone is repaired and ready for pickup. Didn't think too much about it at the time so today went to the store with phone in hand. Sure enough they show the phone was repaired on the second. He also stated they could not have as the screen was not supposed to arrive until today. Tried dealing with insurance again and while I was my partner was talking to the employee. He agreed that since they are getting paid for the repair he would call us when the screen came in, but no call. Tried calling but got voicemail so now tomorrow I will have to go back and see if it came in yet. Here it is, a nice weekend with great weather and this stress is keeping from working some firewood. So sad this is what it has come to.
Maybe the blue is from the TV...thanks on the bridge, lots of stories about a couple folks that bought property that had the first couple hundred feet in a flood plain
Well, now I'm prepared for issues (although I have US Cellular, so it may go better - or worse). I noticed a couple of weeks ago my screen has a ding - almost like a small sharp point got stabbed into it and crunched a very small spot. That ding is at the very corner and is protected by both the case and a screen protector (which does not have a mar in it). Then a couple of days ago I saw a fine crack has appeared going across the screen. I bought this phone new late May or early June. My last phone I bought as refurbished and had 4-5 years with no screen issues at all (the only reason I got a new phone was because the old one wasn't 5G so wouldn't work while visiting relatives in KS). I did get insurance on the phone when I bought it so at some point I'll need to figure out how to make a claim. However at this point, the crack is low enough it doesn't bother me so I'll hold off.
