Took the drive to Dirty Jersey to do some fishin' on Saturday... Total blow-out But we did have a decent feast none the less!!
It looks very nice and I like your colour choice. Painting is messy no matter how careful you try to be.
Yea this storm really put a damper on things this weekend. The coastal towns got hammered. At least ya got to drive on the beach a little haha. And it sure looks like you ate good!
A good time was had by all...There is no air station at the Ocean City Access so he didn't air the tires down, got a little squirrelly getting out of there.
Another BIG THANKS Mr Burninator ! Just ordered 2 new filters, we have not been stranded once since this was installed The OEM ones would have been replaced 2-3 times by now along with tow trucks etc.
LOL, a summer neighbor needs his house roofed, he's taken his granddaughter and kiddo out (and other summer kids) on his boat. He's trying to bribe WWW for a discount with more boat rides for kiddo
Not having a truck, a few years ago I cold called a bunch of landscapers and tree guys in the area to see if anyone had tree jobs in my area and if they would be willing to drop the wood here instead of dragging it back and going through processing it. This one guy came through and over the past couple years he’s really done right by me. I’m guessing it saves him a trip and he doesn’t need to futz with it after dropping it here. I sent him a message a few weeks ago and didn’t hear a word until today. Messaged me this AM to say he had a job if I wanted it.
Fishing for what? Blues? Heck of a feast. Reminds me of my youth on the Chesapeake bay and Patuxent River. No blue crab was safe from us!
I put the maul through one of the fresher looking pieces, and it smelled exactly like a fresh bottle of birch beer. Is it possible that this is some kind of birch tree? Or- is there some other kind of tree that smells remarkably like birch?
That's black birch. If you've never burned any you're in for a treat. The other stuff looks like dead ash or possibly elm
Tuna and Mahi...inshore flounder and weakies! The great state of NJ has a limit of 1 black bass and 1 weak fish. Not even worth fishing for imo. Stripers (rockfish In the Chesapeake) are really regulated also. I lived in Newport News and Norfolk back in the 80's!
