Spread and compacted about 15 ton of ag lime on the floor of the barn today. Still about another 5 ton to go, but should be nice when I'm done and 1/8 the price of concrete.
So what’s the best day to castrate 3 legged sheep? I e never seen anything remotely close to accurate in those almanacs.
It has been published since 1793. There is some science to it. It is reported to be 80 percent accurate. Also there are a lot of interesting articles in it. More like betting odds on the history of weather itself. It has always been fun the compare the current weather with what the almanac has predicted. Judging on the amount of almanacs sold, I would say it has a huge following.
I was driving down 392 in Colo to the interstate one day and an eagle flying over the ponds there had a big long snake in it's mouth. I'm a very safe driver but this sight I had to take my foot off the gas pedal to slow, seemed crazy to me. And, the raptor dropped it, it was a pretty long fall Bummer the Canadian Geese took over and the ponds were rotting from the poop and smelled stronger than septic tanks.
I have about 4" of #2 white rock under it. Then cap it with lime, screed with a 2x4x8 with a handle attached, water, compact, repeat. Takes a while but saves a buck. I'm just parking equipment in it so it doesn't need to be perfect but is easier to keep clean. There's a real fine line with water, but it will mix up cream and finish close to a broom concrete finish.
How is it for making a mess as far as tracking if it gets wet ? We have limestone dust up here and if you want a real mess just put that down and wait till it rains time after time.
I bought a utility knife on clearance, was pleased with the price. Got home, it's 100% self retracting, no option to lock it in the out position. Seems other's didn't like that either, thus the clearance price lol.
been on some driveways with limestone… Won’t let pebbles out of the truck because of the mess it brings back in.
