I finally got my one section of my pole barn cleaned out today so I can start stacking wood in it. I had it filled with stuff from my garage while the floor was being refinished. It seems like I am only able to take baby steps.
Hello. Sorry just noticed this message last night. No not really. We have been hit with some pretty good smoke like others when the wind comes out of the north. I live in the extreme south east corner of BC in the Rockies where we have been fortunate to get enough rain to keep forest fires to a minimum. We were getting pretty dry as May was a very hot month but its been cool and wet the last little while in our region. We have a low fire risk rating right now and can even enjoy back yard and camping fires if we want. You dont have to go to far outside the south east part of the province to get to dry land so Im feeling rather lucky. Im trying to not complain about the cool weather lol.
More weed eating today. But I’m done for a while now. Thankfully. Then I went and had lunch with my Mother and helped her out a bit. Then home to cut grass, pick up daughter at school, and onto tractor work…… The custom built 48” debris forks are working well!

My wife went out to dinner with her work friends. I'm on the couch reading this book by Neil Peart. And maybe sipping on a little Scotch. Nice chill night at the house. Have to be at the Carpenter's Union School at 7 AM tomorrow to teach.
Mine graduated high school today.. starts FT job Monday Dental assistant.. was training 2 day a week since she turned 18 (so she could take X-rays). She will take college classes evenings this fall. BUT dad I’m not going into debt to get educated; employers can pay me for education I will fill in with extra classes.
Good for her - Smart kid. So many don't realize that there are a whole lot of employers out there that will help fund an education while you work for them. It may not be instant gratification (relatively speaking) as it may take a bit longer, and you may not get to act like it's party town, but you don't go into tremendous debt either.
Glad your not smoked out! Hey, misery loves company, I've been complaining about the dark, wet, cool summer. We're supposed hit the 70's in a few days but all the other forecasted ones ended up in the 50's, like yesterday. I want a do over with sun and warmth.
Just gave all my wood handled tools a good soaking of boiled linseed oil suspended in mineral spirits. Beautiful day here in Adams County PA. Hope everyone has a great weekend and Happy Father’s Day a little early to all the dads.
