Good morning, 27, coffee is on and I get to work 'til 8pm. Weather could get ugly Sunday, calling for rain to snow and falling temps..

 

Looks like a good day stinny.

 

Getting some caffeine in to wake me up. Good sleep last night. Went to bed early and slept until 6am. Felt good. Going to work a half day with my brother today. Then, hopefully, work the afternoon in the woods!

 

Bad sleep last nite. Good thing the lil woman got a new 12 cup coffee maker for my Bday gift. The boy woke us up at 3am for his 8am basketball game!!!!!!!

 

Got up at 4am. Its in the 30s outside so I reloaded the stove. Too excited to sleep so I started packing the bags and started making bars, cookies and banana breead for my FIL who will be watching our dogs while we are gone on our trip.

Did I mention I was too excited to sleep?

 

Finally.

Just hangin' out here. Saturday with no place to be. I went outside and took the truck for a spin to try the new tires. The mrs just put on a pot of hazlenut coffee so Im enjoying a cup of that. Kids watching 'toons. Gonna eat lunch soon then go outside and clear the driveway and make snowmen with the kids.

at some point the stove might be due for a reload but right now its 76 in the living room.

gonna make some pasta later for dinner.

I hear you.. I got an interdepartmental transfer last year to a new group where most of the people I work with are in the local office, which gets me out of traveling. I didnt travel near as often as you did, but when I did it was often 18hr international flights to Asia first couple times its fun, by the 5th or 6th its just miserable.

 

Let the fire go mostly out, unloaded the coals, then got set up for a flue cleaning.
10 minutes later, and the stove was making fire again.
For some reason/s, the wood didn't want to take off for a while. Might be a combo of some less than ideal wood and temps above freezing.

 

Crappy draft weather here, you might be experiencing the same. 32 damp heavy air with O wind.

I really dislike this kind of weather.
Of course, if I had that cat stove I want, I'd have less of an issue with the weather, methinks.

 

Setting on the couch watching the snow fly out the bay window, and not land on my wood.
