I know who has the maverick at work. It's a hybrid, non tow package and only fwd. The interior dimensions and such are still the same regardless of the drivetrain.

One of these days when I'm not busy at work (lol) I'll check it out.

Spent half a day cutting treetops, and found a dead ash had fallen on my new fence. Good thing is, it wasn’t punky- so I take it as a silver lining. Also had some small sections of a cherry I had cut up earlier, so I rounded and split them.
With the ash, cherry, and a little beech remnant, that needed split and clean3d up, my wood supply at the boiler shed should get me through to end of the burn season

Hard to hold them accountable when they are dead.

In which case you approach the next of kin. Less harshly than the guy at fault, but still approach them. They could still be held responsible in the government's eyes if anything happens.

I don't get people. If you get someone to haul the car away, it's a little extra cash in your pocket. If environmental pollution can be proven because of oil leakage, it's a massive fine(s). An older woman in the community once had a little oil leak in her furnace oil tank. Her insurance ended up having to pay, I believe it was more than a million bucks for that reason.

Forecasters have been all over the place on what we'll get. Looks to me like most will go east of us, which is fine with me. Right now it is south of us and all rain.

    Never heard that.

drove through Tuesday at 5 pm and there was nothing on the ground.

Wednesday morning at 6am, NDDOT closed the interstate from Grand forks to South Dakota and didn’t open it until 2 PM.

I’m referring to the general premise that forecasters can’t seem to get it right period.

this is the time of year I rely heavily on national weather forecasts as well as regional. I can go from Minnesota to New York in a second. And next week head to Texas or Georgia.

last month I went from Iowa to Williston ND because nationally, it was the best forecast overall.

And they even got that totally wrong.

FarmerJ One thing we don't think of as a workplace tool for truckers is the weather forecast. Not only for snow and ice but also for heat. A lot of truckers in our area haul frozen fish or live fish fingerlings. Adverse weather can affect both products as well as the safety of the driver.

Yeah, our “neighborhood” and “backyard” can have a bit more range.

Luckily we dodged that and it all went south.. We got around 2" the other day and the puddles are still in low spots of the yard, and the sump pump has been running. It's totally keeping up, but frozen ground can't soak up water.

50 mph gusts coming our way. Wife and I spent an hour preparing. Every stack is tied down. So far very little movement.
