I've (and occasional help from 99) have been giving the wood pile heck. Splitting and stacking. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now!!

The next two days are in the 90's so unless I split early in the morning, the rest will just have to wait a bit.

This was the pile that was left to do on Friday evening......

    And on Saturday evening.....

And as of 1/2 hour ago.......

Not sure if I'll be working on the wood this week or not. Rain now and temp is said to be rising all week. Not good for this kind of work at my age. I'll probably just do some puttering jobs.

Well, I tried one load of splitting/stacking and figured that the heat was just too much. Probably could have finished it today, but........

She has waited for years for this dog also. It's more of a joke than anything.

Honestly, it is getting better (or we are adapting to it) everyday. This morning, it found it's way into the bedroom past the barricades and began whimpering. Well, that was at first light before sunrise.......:D

Forest fire started up yesterday near us and as of this afternoon has burned 12,000 acres. The latest update is that they have it 70% contained. Picture is looking southeast from our place.
