Plus you never know when you'll need the saw for a zombie horde attack.

I did some resplitting for my neighbor today so he has enough wood for a few more weeks, before that we pushed in some Sugar Maple,Yellow Birch and some Cherry for this week.

The Beech,Ironwood and the Sugar Maple for February is waiting for Mother Natures next shot of real cold air, 1.22 cord ready. We still have just under 1.83 cord of Cherry left.

I'll have the chains back on the Rhino so I can run back in to find myself a topped off tree to drop, if we don't have enough snow for the sleds for the weekend, I plan on cutting one day.....burn some brush the second day.

I was looking to make sure there was no electrical cord hanging off the back of the saw. Those work really well in zombie horde situations. Lol

I have a Bryant 90+ L.P. furnace which is set for 54 degrees, BUT!!,,,,the good wife is home and I keep a "rick" of smaller firewood in the shed for her to feed the owb. In the event of the ol' doe beater being gone, I've gotta' good neighbor who would tend to the greedy hungry beast.
That Bryant only gets one short test run every fall and after that I do all I can do to starve that unit of any more L.P.!! I average 16-17 months on 200 dollars of L.P. heating my hot water.
I beat the weather and got home okay after work,,

Same thing with the caffeine here rottiman. Trying to get ready to get up and make breakfast for the crew and then go to work.
    Let's see. About 15 years to go. 15 x 48 weeks a year x 4shifts a week = only 2880 shifts to go!

Nice of you thewoodlands. What do you mean. Why "resplitting"?

Man do I have some brush to burn. I have a whole crap load that I will have to leave in piles for the wabbits, but some I would like to burn up to get rid of it right away.

Lots of retirement talk. Kinda nice to know I'm still on the downside but nowhere as close as Rotti. I'm under 6 years to go. Still counting in years, not close enough for months yet...

I would just like to work full time doing the things I really enjoy. Working with machinery (Without having to work on it!), cutting firewood, landscaping and working on property in general, etc. Rotti is right about the lottery. Gotta be in it to win it. Right? But I never buy them things. So it is off to work like usual.

I buy them for fun and that's all. Brought 10 home for Xmas so all of us has one to scratch, birthdays etc. My mom won 1k on a card my son gave her on Xmas day this year. That was a lot of fun to watch.

Yesterday me and my son went ice fishing with my friend and his son. All the girls went to the movies.

This is at a local reservoir. We were set up on the lee side of a hill, so there was little wind. No fish caught, but I really wanted to get out and spend some time with my son. Electronics take too much out of our lives. There was a nice 1/4 mile walk through the woods to get to the location. We only spent about 2 1/2 hours out there, but being surrounded by silence and pines and a small whiff of wood smoke every once in a while from the nearest house was great.

Now, the girls went to the movies and I had the unfortunate pleasure of seeing the food and drink receipt when they got home. I was a little more than shocked.
