I'm in KS right now visiting the family. Yesterday I offered to help Mom do some gardening. Almost couldn't get the 8 bags of mulch she wanted. They were supposed to get a delivery 2 weeks ago that didn't arrive, then it was supposed to arrive Thursday, and it didn't. Then the promise was for Friday. Landscape company was saving the mulch they did have for projects they had lined up.

We had to go thru the chain of command at the company to determine whether we could get the mulch or not. Old family friend owns the place; we were neighbors, our parents were good friends and he and I grew up together - he was 1 year ahead of me in school. We told him that if he couldn't spare it, that was fine, but he did let us get some. I don't know if they actually got their delivery yesterday, I hope so.

    Good, busy, but good.

I'll be even busier after I see how much I missed on FHC in a couple weeks.

Had a load of logs delivered today. And.....of course....started cutting right away.

Why not? Cool day, no little black gnats swarming you, and a fresh chain on the saw.

I'll get pics as soon as I can stand straight enough.................

So, I approached Chazsbetterhalf with a proposal on a particular stock that I'd like to "play" with. It's in the $3-$4 range, and fluctuates quite a bit during the day.

I'm not a stock market person by any means, but I think it has some profit potential.

Was doing some cutting today, and hit "paydirt".. so I changed to a fresh chain.

Later grumbled about wanting a chain grinder, she said she'd only approve my stock market venture if I purchase the chain grinder.
    :bug::bug::bug:

How can a guy (me) get such a woman??
    :rootintootin:

Money's tighter than usual these days, so her faith in me just fills my heart to bursting.
    :dancer:

Edit. As an aside, I did have to put off having the full electrical service to the polebarn until profits provide the $$

Got the roof on the lean-to knocked out today. Need to get some more rock under it and I can move more stuff in there. It's 32x12 so it will fill up quick.

The rest of the shop will get matching metal eventually. Chimney coming out and boiler heat getting hooked up too.

Whew, yesterday was warm here at 90+.
Of course I ended up working in it all day.
Cleaned up the blow down pine by limbing it and moving the log over to drag into place as a border.
Remortared the stone step on the cottage that had came loose that I’d been putting off.
Then mowed our 6 acres of yard. The new mower(s) are a treasure. Nothing like good equipment!
Pack muled bags of garden soil and mulch for her majesty’s flower gardens.
Installed two window ac units as the mini split installation is waiting on the electrician to come next week.

I was beat going into the shower!
Rain supposedly coming in so I wanted to get it all done before that. It takes a while for our yard to dry out after rain.

Today I think I’ll take it easy. The MS250 was idling a little high yesterday so I’ll take a stab at retuning it in hopes that it doesn’t have an air leak.

    To all, a good day.

Sounds like Chaz has been busy. I'm hoping to see those 2 also at the GTG.
