It's out here Dennis, actually had rain/snow flurries yesterday instead of just snow. I'll tell it it's running late and needs to get out east asap.

By the way, I have my repaired phone back. Turned out it was the more expensive flavor of the "Z" models, so it ended up being $200. I was hoping for under $100 but I'm glad to have it back, it has really nice volume for phone calls.

I miss seeing the rabbit in with the chickens. No rabbits around here. Way too many predators.

Yeah, CK. I get irritated by their constant emails - but not so irritated that I go and turn off their notifications or "unsubscribe" to their emails (as I do with most places). I do appreciate that I get almost instantaneous notification when there is a "hard" credit inquiry. And last year I even used their tax software for free (when you got simple taxes, no need to pay).

I don't usually use credit either - and any I use is for very short term. I had a loan on my current Explorer for less than 2 months - until I sold the bike and car and paid it off. I use a credit card to get cash back, but pay it off every month.

I was talking to a contractor the other day, when we started talking numbers he asked how I would pay for it. I told the dude I would be paying cash. But then asked if there were incentives from the loan companies (like when I bought the Focus). I'll take a loan thru a company for the required time (3) months to get another $1,000 off the purchase price, then promptly pay it off. Or sometimes the contractor gets incentives from the loan company, and they may give me a lower price that way. I told him the reason for my question and then all he could talk about for the next several minutes was how I could take a personal loan which would most likely be a lower percentage rate. I'm like, "dude, chill, I was just asking for information."

We are having some weather this March like we used to. Yesterday we had ice. Then it warmed and then rain in afternoon. It did not get as warm as predicted but did warm some late afternoon. It hit 50 (predicted 59) by 7:00 last evening then around 3:00 am the temperature started raising fast. An hour later it hit 62! 56 now with a predicted high of 51 with falling temps. Wind really picked up by 7:30. Now snow moving across the pond between MI and WI.
