Bracing for rain turning to snow with 25-30 mph winds and with gusts up to 50. We will either get 2-4” or according to the power company 10-18”. We haven’t gotten accurate forecasts for years now.

We had to walk 10 miles, uphill both ways, just to buy the paper to make the kites. Tell that to kids today and they don’t believe ya.

Newpaper kites! The fancy ones were made from the Sunday funny pages that were in color.

I'm in the narrow strip that is 3-6". However, if the storm track moves 10 miles either way and I could get a dusting, or up to 12". Whatever I get, it will be heavy, sloppy and a b*tch to move.

    Forecast for 3-12-22.JPG

Fortunately as much as I hate the place we are leaving for Florida today. Daughter has softball for a week there and we figured we probably should at least go once. It will be melted by next Saturday when we get home.

I was pleasantly surprised, either $60 or $90 depending on which version of Moto Z I have. Fingers crossed it is indeed only the screen.

I'll vouch for that as well. There's a valley in the middle too!

Staying inside off the TN mountain roads. It should be gone by Monday. Friday at 6pm it was 73. By 8am Saturday some places had 8 inches of snow.

On the bright side (no pun intended), we all get an extra hour of hoarding after this weekend!

Had one of those at my previous house. Had a horseshoe drive. It was uphill both ways to get in. then to get out, it was downhill, but onto an uphill road.

10 degrees in Bennington Vermont now. The Lopi is running nice with 3 year old white oak.

Busy day today. Been up since 4 taking care of chores before I fly to Dallas for a work trip.
Had to adjust the water on the steam boiler before it came on. It’s on its last legs this winter. Waiting on quotes to come in to redo it.

Got some snow plowing to do before I go as we got about 8” snow yesterday. Chickens to top off feeder and water cans, and of course a couple of wheelbarrows of wood and kindling up on the porch for the missus while I’m gone.

    To all, a good day.

We received more snow last few days. Gave me enough ground cover to move some clay this morning. Temperatures coming means this will be the last time for a long while, until things dry out. Will get as much done as I can this morning.

All of our snow should melt today as it's headed to 50, then 70 by mid/late week. Then more mud season. :picard:
