Ultimately quicker and easier to haul it away.

People who bought the house next door were burning trash in a barrel last week. Looked like garbage that was left in the shed from the PO. Think there was plastic mixed in, that didn't smell good.

Good stuff. Great show. They just make is very difficult to watch seasons 1-3. Unless you want to pay for another streaming service, while it is inexpensive, it's still a PITA. So when they sure the marathons, dvr them or simply watch it all if you haven't yet.

It is supposed to warm up again! Ah, closer to spring, but winter will not be forgotten as it will return again in a few more days.

Great show. We binge watched it and looked forward to this last season coming out.

The show “1883” is the prequel to Yellowstone btw. I haven’t seen it though.

You can watch the first 3 episodes of 1883 on Paramount network. After that, you have to get paramount+. 1883 is good, but after watching the first 3 episodes as soon as they each were released, idk if it's worth paying for another service. Now the 4 6's show that'll be on Paramount+, that has my interest.

Thanks, I see some on youtube. I need to clean up and our subscriptions, I went over a credit card statement the other day, and there's a couple that renew automatically via PayPal, too much $$ going out of this house.

After yesterday's wicked wind and frigid temps, today is the perfect day to have a fire out back. Burnin an old shed from my parents at the moment. Have a great day everyone. 20220220_111325.jpg

    The Struggles Make You Stronger
I watched as a colorful caterpillar squiggled daintily across a rust-colored leaf. It seemed content to be earth-bound even while a yellow butterfly was flitting and floating along the breeze above it.

It occurred to me that the caterpillar was satisfied because it does not yet know what it can become. The caterpillar looks at the butterfly and wonders what it would be like to fly, but that is just a dream, so she wiggles slowly to her next destination.

Then the caterpillar removes herself from the warmth of the sun and she spins herself into a protective cocoon where there is no light, only darkness. No one can hurt her inside the cocoon, so she feels safe. It walls keep things out, but they also keep her trapped and alone.

This reminds me of where I once was; bound to earthly things, content with the state I was in. I locked myself away behind a cocoon so I couldn't get hurt, and not knowing what I could be.

    But then...God.

You see God can do some of his most amazing work in the dark places. Like the caterpillar, things that were dormant come to life. Parts of us that are no longer necessary fall of and are replaced with something stronger, something better. There is pain in the breaking, but there is blessing in what is broken.

What we once were dies and is replaced with something new and beautiful. We become a new creation! When the work of Christ is finished, we become restless in that old cocoon because it no longer serves us. It is time to push through the shell of what we once were and burst forth with new life and new wings to fly.

It's not easy to get used to this new body, but it makes us feel stronger and each time we lift our wings we imagine new possibilities and they seem as endless as the wind itself.

What was bound is now boundless. God finds us in the dark and gives us a new identity, a new name, and new wings to make us free!

Thank you Jesus for finding us and setting us free!

    Scripture

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
    2 Corinthians 5:17

idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions
    Galatians 5:20 NIV

“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
    Isaiah 43:18‭-‬19 NIV

I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh. Then they will follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws. They will be my people, and I will be their God.
    Ezekiel 11:19‭-‬20 NIV

All kinds of little stuff taken care of today. Fixed my daughters windshield wiper, cleaned garage floor well, got some of a workout in, cleared dryer vent on the outside.

And went to my daughters playoff basketball game. And they won! Later this week will come the tough teams.

On the way home several folks and their cars found out what it was like to come into blowing and drifting snow on the open highway. Too fast! Down into the ditch they went. All seemed okay. Lucky they didn’t hit anything and were then on phone calling someone.

Then took my Mother shopping at two different places and got her back home and inside with her groceries and stuff.

Now relaxing and watching GRANT on the History Channel. After eating two large grilled cheese sandwiches with mustard, with a little chips and pickles. And a Strawberry Banana Yogurt for dessert. :)

Not too much accomplished today. Helped out a neighbor lady with her V-plow. Just a quick fix.

    Watched some more Yellowstone....

Also, found out a larger ash right next to the driveway has become the new favorite target of a pileated woodpecker! Looks to me like the tree is hollow where the bird is pecking so I'll have to grab that tree this summer. Let them get a few good meals out of it first.

Wonderful day to be outside. Cut up a 8 inch walnut leaning into my pasture, then found a deadfall male around ten at the base. Cut it up. I have plenty of maple and walnut to mix in with the remainder of the wood I split last year.

good enough to get me through March, and maybe into April, with some rounds out in the woods , to be split after the bark loosens up.

All y'all been talking about the History Channel so I had to figure out where it was. I watch the Science channel all the time which is just below a bunch of pay channels, so I've never looked higher. Decided to look at the actual channel lineup that I downloaded last year and found the History channel about 6 channels above the Science channel. I don't know why they hide it up sandwiched between the pay channels.
