Maybe thats what he was doing lol. If we do get another dog an Airedale will be top of the list or a Welsh terrier.

He'd have little frozen snow balls all over his front half head and all. It was fun getting him melted off.

We had a dog that loved the snow, she would run and scoop it up with her mouth. She didn't have snow pile up on her snout, but we always knew when she buried something in the dirt. LOL Sure miss her.

We're in full winter mode here too after months of Indian Summer. Stay warm Al :)

I giggled outloud a couple days ago, let the dog in, and went to the freshen my coffee, she left a perfect little trail of snow balls in a path that went a full 3/4 the way around the whole room, almost staged like breadcrumbs. Funny & cute.

Dogs can be a part of the family, a pain in the arse, and highly entertaining, and sorrow when they're gone.

Got all the plumbing and wiring done for garage heat. Just need to finish rebuilding the radiators and get them hooked up.

thank you, and they are with their firstborn child who died at 6 months old.

One nice thing did happen after grandmother died. Now grandfather has 3 brothers, but they all were basically estranged and didn't speak for what I gather to be most of their lives. Despite 2 of them living next door on either side and the other just around the corner. A couple times in the past several years one of them and then another would make amends and start visiting, but after so long they fell out again. Over petty reasons too, but we all have our demons. I'm Noone to judge, but it's too bad.

But at grandmother's wake, the other brother, the one I'd last expect, and grandfather reconciled and over the past 3 months, he was constantly coming and visiting grandfather and helping look after him.

It'd make you wonder, he was in all kinds of pain, but the hospital was just trying to get his medication regulated and send him home. Once they had him drugged enough to kill the pain, he pretty much laid back, went to sleep and never woke up.

And some of those are only the pain in the neck part.

at grandfather's funeral, his best friend who came from 2 hours away, said something about he wasn't sure if it was only family allowed (due to covid). Dad told him he wouldn't worry about it, and I told him, with no qualms about any of the relatives hearing it, you were closer to him than a lot of the family.

That certainly wasn’t meant for anyone’s family member. I was just thinking about some of my own.

I am truly sorry for your loss our friend.

When you get older you will understand. I lived in a family like that. Family no matter what blood is blood till the day we die. Although we may not get along for whatever reason we are still blood. It suck’s living that life but still blood is blood.

It is so bad when family won't make an effort to agree to disagree and work with what they do have in common. If someone doesn't have something nice to say, they need to keep silent until they come to a point to be positive. When one of mine relations says something cryptic, I ignore the comment. Disputing it or trying to prove being right is futile. Save my energy for something else. I am near the end of my years. I want to live in peace. I'll not dwell or waste my time allowing upset to spoil what I have left.
