Fighting back problems is no stranger to me. I injured mine in September, 1984 and my world changed forever then. It is not easy to live with but one still has to carry on.

Not in Ohio...they only recognize cord and fractions of a cord as legal firewood quantity descriptions.

It is among the cruelest inflictions. I hope there is a cure someday.

Me too. It doesn't matter what kind of wood it is, if you can mix up the "fuel" a little it seems they all burn better.

I think the fact that oak takes longer to dry, is probably why all RO loads are less. People will think it isn't as good off they don't let it dry enough. :picard:

Can't like that post. Especially with you being as young as you are. When I turned 40, that's when injuries started to take longer to heal.

Yes. I was 41 when I injured my back and that changed my whole world. Second thing that changed my world was losing Judy. That has been much worse than the back problem.

Been there. Just behave until you heal. Don't push it when you have a good day. If this is a chronic thing, think about going to pain management group. There are some really good pain management techniques which don't include addictive drugs. Some other meds like Motrin are good, but only for short term management. Many cardiac complication with long term use of NSAIDS.

Dennis, I think about how you are getting along every time I open up the FHC forum. I know three other men who became widowed this year. Be safe, be well.

Hey guys. Got a little bit done today after going to DMV to get tags for the dump truck.
Had to make an appt over a month in advance and then wait 2 hours. I understand I guess but sure seems a little bit taking advantage of the COVID situation on the government part. Ok. I’m getting off my high horse now. Sorry.

So did some vertical splitting with the bigguns and then topped off the truck.

Now I have to stack this load but I had work calls to attend so maybe tomorrow.

Here you make an appt. as much as two weeks away to drop off the paperwork to a (mostly) live person to be inspected and approved. The tags come in the mail when they get a round tuit. Not the local DMV, you have to drive to one about 20 minutes away. Luckily the USPS is pretty good delivering mail around here, at least locally.

Went out for a walk with mom. Got back and....

Whats the going rate for 2 or 3 blocks worth of sidewalk? A section was just replaced along the parking lot after being dug up for plumbing work....

Some kid(s) have it ruined, full of good deep footprints.

And smeared some on my car.....

The guy I got it from had a job box there which he kept. I am working out on whether to move the bed or put another box to lock up stuff like saws inside on scrounging missions.

me and mom did, sort of. There were about 3 younger ones. Some details mom noticed that I didn't at the time because I was too pizzed off about my car.

There was one somewhat older boy, with enough sense to know the difference, among them. He pointed one of the others out as the culprit, or main culprit. Not hard to tell as his jacket was full of concrete (that being one of those details I didn't notice immediately). He said something about I only did this side, not that. Well, I lost my temper and yelled at him. He started to run away and mom, a few yards away behind the car, spoke to him and first he apologized to her, then she got him to very meekly come apologize to me. Part of me wonders if I shouldn't have asked that older boy where this guy lived. The sidewalk, well I don't care. I can laugh at that. It's the housing Corp's problem I believe since it's on their property, or maybe the city. And I have no sympathy for either of those entities.
