Got my cabinet door built this AM and installed after work. Punch list is super short now.

Ball game after that and my evening was done.

Off work tomorrow for family excursion.

Nice as it looks, you must have to pack water to it. Island homes don't often have a source of water - at least around here.

Finally got my pond pizzer project done
Couldn't believe my luck. open the frog and fish valve 1 1/2 turns and the fountain valve I don't know. It was perfect when I turned it on except for the fountain which I don't care about. I figured I would have to do some adjustment and was dreading it. I can get down ok, but getting up is another story.
I have to find a way to hide the tubing. Maybe some white rocks.

I'm kind of getting into these solar projects

That may be the case, but I guess that's no big deal on a cabin. Bring drinking water, I guess you could collect rain for other things.

Mind you, I would think you could harvest fresh groundwater with a good part of the island being several feet above sea level, but I could be wrong. No experience there. Probably better off going with the other options.

I would have put the cabin on the other side of the island though for a bether view and at least a better illusion of seclusion . On that side, you might be on an island alone but you're still only across that little bit of water from the community and looking out your front window at it. That's actually a pic I took myself when I visited the area a while back. Took it from the main road.

Makes me wonder if it's worth it. Its a novelty more than anything. A private, secluded Oceanview place wouldn't be hard to come by in that area, and you wouldn't have to transport everything by boat going back and forth.

You say the cabin on the Island. How much land of the Island goes with the Cabin for that price?

It's all kinds of nasty out there today. Temp in the upper 80's, dew point in upper 70's, hazy sunshine, and mosquitos ev-er-y-where.

You are going to love having a clean vehicle. So much better to not have the mud and dust. Only thing is those that want to drive too fast. Not a issue for me as I am the last one in on a dead end road. In all my 46 yrs living here, no one has ever driven off the end of the road.

Great idea but I did not pave my 1200 foot driveway so0 dust will continue. The road itself is about mile.

I did put down fabric and 300 yards of gravel. That has taken care of mud, well on finished part:whistle:

So far I am now down 23 lbs. Sad part is I can't tell by the looks of me. When really big, that 23 lbs represent a very small percentage of my body wt. Good part is that I am breathing better and have less leg pain. Good motivation to keep it up.
