    Had some of my wife's family here today. They are all from Baltimore. It's kind of fun to hear over and over What do you guys do out here. City folk!:cheers: They are really good people just never been to iowa before.

    It's funny you don't have to get to far from Baltimore City and there is some nice farm ground. Mostly high dollar stuff though. Are they from the city city or outside Baltimore?

    I remember the boss riding with me on my first "big city" job. I couldn't figure out why he looked puzzled when I answered what we did last weekend. I told him Sat we took the horse trailer to the dump to empty it and came home with some premium bales for the llamas. Sunday we took the now empty again trailer to Comanche peak to cut firewood. It took me a few years to understand why that flabbergasted him. That was a long time ago but I would guess similar to yours:)

    Can't tell you the exact date, but I had 1 beer right after I moved into my house. Only because a buddy forgot I stopped and grabbed 1 to many. Sorry reason to have it but I was thirsty. I still keep beer in the house which a lot of people find strange. I figure just cause I stopped doesn't mean everyone has too. I wear big boy pants I can chose not to.:D

    5 degrees out right now so I put on a fire and made a sausage, egg sandwich this morning and I'm taking one of the dogs out for a walk before church. Love early mornings in winter!

    I'm not sure if any of the dogs share my enthuiasm!

    Back from my walk with Doug. Perfect....cold but no wind, snow crunching under foot, not a soul to be seen and never even heard a car. Great start to the day!

    Threw a pot of water on the stove to make hot chocolate. Simple pleasures are the best!

    I'm going out to cut some wood but I am going to give the neighbors another hour before I run the saw. I will try to bring some back as well before lunch. Have some family coming down for lunch because today is the last day my oldest daughter will be home. She is heading back South on Monday.
