    Usually dig them in September here, but this was a weird year. Wasn't willing to leave them in the ground for the critters to eat.

    Caffeine! Getting ready to go in and work for a friend. We swapped a couple days so he could go to something for one of his kids. It’s a very nice weather day here! You hoarders have a good one. Have fun!

    Might check out a local festival but not sure I'm up to being in crowds.

    From now on, that is the way it has to be. I don't need Covid or any other infection. So being in a crowd, elbow to elbow with strangers is a thing of the past for me. I have adapted to keeping a distance, and that is the way it needs to stay. Not having a cold or the flu is really nice.

    International durastar with a 12' bed. Kinda cute, almost funny looking. Not often you see that short a bed on a truck that size

    I don't leave the house without a thermacell and have also taken to wearing my old bug suit which I had not worn for about 30 years. I waited today on moving and stacking a little wood until mid day and they weren't as bad, but still bad.

    I just read an article about our area and indeed we have had a double barreled hatch and more are expected to hatch this week with more rain too so it is not going to be pretty out there.

    Slugs.. the creepy, sticky, slithering, nasty kind..
    :hair::hair:

    I've noticed an incredible increase in their numbers with this wet summer.
    :doh:
    :mad::mad:

    Anyone else notice an increase this year?

    It's been crazy here.

    I've groomed/combed Holley more this summer than the past few years.

    Seems she's laying on them nearly every day.

    Me too.

    Our town has its Summerfest this weekend. It is like a mini fair. We don't do a 4th of July celebration since the fest is so close. It is held at a field that is close enough that I could walk to it in 5-7 minutes if I wanted to go. The only part I am libel to want to join the crowds in is the fireworks. Those were held last night and I can see the majority of them from my house. Can't see the lower ones because of the trees, but get plenty of enjoyment out of the high fliers.
