I'm glad they brought the megacab back. So you like it even though you can't get an 8' bed with it? ;)

Yes, lukem , hopefully she is on the mend. Did she have much for warning signs, or was it all of a sudden?

No we don't have a/c but we do have a variety of windows to catch what breeze there was. It did hit 95 in our town for a couple of days. Mom doesn't have a/c but she is on an island surrounded by cold water. It helped that her office she likes to be in is in the basement and is the coolest place in the house. We all survived and today was back to being foggy and very cool.

Great. I read that it had been 120 in BC, Canada in one place. And well over 100 in several others. Glad you didn’t see that.

I wish they would have just made the HD trucks with the 5th gen cabs too. I dont understand why they wouldnt?

If I were to keep this one for the long haul, I would consider a stretch. They look HUGE though!

Weather people say that heat is moving east. It is expected to be north of us buy it looks like it will still have some big effect in our weather. Still after a couple days in low 70's with low 50's at night, they predict 90 for Sunday and Monday.

I have a bunch to do today in preparation for my parents coming to visit for the weekend, and I am completely spent after spending 19 hours in the truck yesterday. I started my day at 5:30AM in Birmingham, Alabama, and ended it at 1AM scaring the chit out of my wife walking into the bedroom when she expected me to be home today.

It appears that system has finally moved and we did not get any rain yesterday!! So we had rain for only 11 days and now only a 30% chance of more. I guess we won't be breaking Noah's record.

where my brother lives in the interior of BC, it hit those kind of temps. I think we set high record temps all over BC. Now the worry is wild fires. One fire chief said if you fart in the woods, you will start a fire. We have a few small fires on the north end of the island after a massive thunder and lighting storm but it got foggy and cooler temps the next day. I am hoping it helped with putting them out.

I hear they have removed all the beans from grocery shelves until fall or wet weather.

Got pressure plumbing fitted this AM....need to take one last look over it after work this evening and then crimp everything down (I was still half asleep when I did it). Need to install the rest of the tub faucet kit this evening too.

After that I am going to start reinforcing floor joists because I'm going to have to notch several of them to run drain lines....then start the drain plumbing.

Still lots to do, but not nearly as much as what I have done already.

I always forget to take before pics, but the last room I had left to clean out was pretty bad. I disposed of some stuff, mainly demolishing 3 old dressers as well as moving the flooring for my room into my room.

the remains of the dressers will be a fine load for the dump on Saturday. 2 loads, I'd say. Fishing also opens Saturday and I have to go to a building supplies store as well, so it'll be a busy day.
