Some places will need a touch up, but except for needing to finish the back door frame, it's all blue now.

Unfortunately none of that is making it here. I've had about 1/8" in the last two weeks. my area has been in abnormally dry (and at times moderate drought) for a year now. Been dry enough that the town was able to sell the land next door to a developer and he filled in with sand and rock. The stream going thru the middle of it dried up so they could claim that it wasn't wetlands. Regardless of the fact they brought in 20+ loads of sand to keep the equipment from sinking, plus a whole lot of riprap for the drainage ditches they put up all around the property. I am so sad thinking that the giant snapper that lived over there probably didn't survive the project.

That sounds like a shady deal was made.

A couple weeks ago it was super dry. I wanted to plant some buckwheat and clover but didn't because it was so dry it would have been a waste of time and money.

Now I feel like Noah and think it is time to build a big boat. Rain gauge shows 3 1/2" from yesterday; 7 1/2" since Wednesday.

Yeah, sounds really shady. Wetlands are wetlands. Even in a drought. There will probably be a lawsuit over that.

If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck . . .

Amazing that the town held onto until the drought, hu? ;)

Even more amazing, the realtor wanted 22k for it, but the guy told the neighbor he paid 36k for it at an auction no one heard about - and he was the first bidder at that huge bid. Other people were there who were only prepared to offer a couple grand (less than I offered for the property). And the town is down to 1 selectman because 2 quit.

It might have hit northern NH, but remember, I'm in the southern 3rd. It was heavily overcast all day, and wicked humid, but that was it for me. Not expected to get any rain until, at earliest, Wednesday.

And the owner of the home that is built there will suffer the consequences, when there is an abnormally wet season.

Sounds like the ducks are out of their wetland as well. We know where they went at least...

Stayed inside today. Refinished a tired pine bench for the kitchen. That's about it. Hot week ahead.

Looks so much nicer. Not bad for being saved from going in a dumpster.
