Sigh, that price was the 2018 price.

The removal of the hyper heat brought the price down to $8,600. At least it is more comparable with the other quote since the condenser unit is 30k (versus 20k from the first quote). He also gives 5% discount for cash/check (versus 2% from 1st quote). The NH utility rebate is $1,000 (versus $600 from the 1st quote). The rebates depend on tonnage, at $400 per ton. Still quite the spread in final price between them.

The fact that Lennox only goes thru authorized dealers makes it tougher to compare. I can see the prices that the components go for the Mitsubishi units, but not on the Lennox. I know there is labor, electrical work, removal of the old condenser, and equipment markups, but without a baseline for the component costs, it is difficult to tell whose is better.

It certainly doesn't help that steel is more expensive than it was two years ago either.

Rolled my ankle to the outside stepping off my tractor the other day. Down like a ton of bricks I went. Luckily my kids were home. I immediately texted the two older ones and my son came out and picked me up. Have been nursing it for two days now but still walking around each day gently off and on all day. I’m hoping I was fortunate, in that it could have been much worse. Scary thing when it happens and a game changer while healing. Hopefully I’ll be back to getting things done soon.

Ouch. The last time I screwed up an ankle was getting off atv. Tractor is higher so that must have done a terrible hurt on you.

Yesterday I used my new ms170 to help my buddy get the dreaded willow branch cut down and off of his lawn. It broke off and was ugly and messy. I cut it up and we hauled it to the road side and the town will pick it up Monday and chip it. Now he can mow that area again. I also found a couple of morels in the woods and hauled dad's old wood trailer from in the woods, to the road. I loaded all of mom's old realtor signs in the trailer. I want to just recycle everything but the trailer, but mom wants the signs. Why? Who knows? Amazingly the two flat tires aired up easily with my portable air compressor. They have been flat for years. I had to refill the air tank a couple times, but how do you do that with no power? Ah!!! There's inverters built in to my truck. I had to start the truck to get the compressor to run, but that was an easy and smart decision of me to bring that compressor. The ATV pulled it right out of the woods, just easier with aired up tires:yes:

My mom just sold the lot. So I'll have to hoard wood from scrounges and my buddy's dad's land.

So here's the thing, I've got a week to get it off the land. But neither me nor my buddy want the trailer. We've both got 4x8's, and this one needs plywood and lights, and tires as well. These are tires from the old full size bronco. They are checked pretty badly, but hold air. I think...

Thinking, just put it on CL for $50-100 and be done with it.

Then I came home, and hauled mulch and dirt from the tree stumps in front that were ground up by the stump grinder and put that mulch on the mulched area in the lower yard. My wife was very happy about that. Next weekend I'll haul the mulch from the big ash in back. Then it'll be top soil and grass seed time.

Wow, what a rainy day! The forecast is 95-100% chance of rain for 18 hours straight! It's been putting 'er down too...gotta think there will be some flooding as things were already a little wet...

I heard crunching and felt fire inside my ankle and up my leg. Pain was real bad for a bit. But I think, and hope, I pulled my leg up quick enough to get weight off it and let myself just fall to the ground. I couldn’t move at all for some 10-20 seconds. But I did get to moving my toes and foot quickly hoping that everything would come back into place. It’s amazing how fast things like that happen. I just happened to step where there was uneven ground. :picard:

That sounds painful. It really takes your breath away when something like that happens. I hope you didn't break something small in the ankle. Did you consider an Xray?

I have thought about it. But I decided immediately that if I can walk on it gently, the way I have been able to, that it is probably better to do that. So I kept walking on it lightly to keep things moving. Quite a hobble going on but things are feeling a little better as time goes on. Hoping that keeping blood flowing and everything moving gently would be the best. I have to be very careful though. I think, and hope, that by mid to end of this week I should be able to be back to close to normal. Toes would be crossed, but that hurts! So I’ll cross my fingers.

When I did something similar I bought one of these neoprene supports. It really helped. My foot turned black and blue from the toes to just above the ankle.
