Yeah, unless the phone is ip67 or so waterproof, you may have killed it.

We have 5 acres on a dirt road, we've been busy as of late, so not much checking messages.

I work for a government contractor. Currently there's a somewhat minor production line stoppage on a particular military engine due to a broken machine component. In reality it's one temporary kink in the supply chain. Not exactly a threat to national security but the type of thing that you don't want to drag on for days. So my department was tasked with making a new component (which I'm finishing now) and another department was asked to try and repair the old one. It's become a you-know-what measuring contest. All that really matters is that the line gets back up and running but instead it's devolved into so-and-so aircraft is proving to so-and-so aircraft that so-and-so aircraft is better than so-and-so aircraft. This is where your tax dollars go

Might be worth it (as in much cheaper) to buy a cheap headset instead. I really like mine as it cleans up the reception/flow of the conversation versus just using my phone. No, I don't know how that would work and doesn't seem like it should. I've been using the linked headset for about a year now (ordered it the day we got sent home from work March of 2020) and it does the same on both my work iPhone and my personal Samsung Android.

I use it a lot for work (Wednesdays I literally in meeting all day) and it is much better than the tinny sound that comes from the speaker of the phone that I had to use until the headset arrived. I don't make/receive calls much on my personal phone, but proved to myself the clean up the headset does last weekend when my mom called out of the blue. I didn't have the headset on, so used the phone and my parents were wondering why I sounded strange and there were faint clicks and weird pauses in the conversation that haven't been there when I've used the headset.

There are also other pretty cheap headsets that have larger button - I don't know if you would need something like that because of your challenges. I only use the volume buttons, so can live with the small ones.

Beautiful day outside. Maple "helicopters" are falling like crazy.

Got the last of the drywall hung and everything screwed in last night....going to try to get some mud slung tonight and over the weekend.

One of my son's got another rescue pup today. This one is from Arkansas. Cost to the rescue is a bit over $400. Next to impossible to get a pup here in Maine except from a breeder or from a rescue organization. Purebreds go for over $1000 from a breeder and whoops pups go for over $400 for most mixed breeds. In our kennels are mostly Pitbull mixes with histories. Son and family live about 1000 ft in from the road. Large wooded lot. His other dog is also an out of state rescue he got three years ago.

Thanks BB, I'm interested in the headset you linked but it wont open for me. Looks like a comparable new phone is $120.

But..... I thinking about getting kiddo a cell phone for her birthday and I really like the parental controls on Verizon's "family smart" plan, which is a billing account (I am prepaid now), which means I'd have to open up an account and likely new or discounted phones if I do that. I'd rather she not have a phone with internet and a camera at all until she's older but I also want her to be able to call us or 911 if she needs to.
