Ok I think I broke a normal record (not a party) of 11 extra cars in driveway in less than 30 minutes.

Putting a header over that window? Could be hidden by insulation

Nothing wrong about asking for help. What is easy for some is hard for others. And with your issues, very understandable. I'm sure it is frustrating for you but at the same time, it is rewarding for others to help out.

My mother has had essential tremors since her early 60's (she is 82 now). The tremors are all over her body and very noticeable to even strangers because her head bobs, weaves and shakes. I don't know how she made me a quilt two years ago - although it did take a long time piecing the squares and she could only work on it in short burst because of the frustration (someone else did the final "quilting). She used to have beautiful handwriting - not so much now.

My Mom & Dad called last night to let me know that Dad has been officially diagnosed with Alzheimer's (he will be 85 in September). This is not unexpected as his mother had it (much earlier, in her 60's) and he has been losing his memory for several years. Fortunately he has been very organized all his life so that helps him. However, since he is so organized, my mother has been in for a couple of shocks since the beginning of the year; he forgot to pay the house taxes at the end of the year, and he also forgot to take his mandatory distribution from IRA, which means the mandatory taxes on it didn't get paid and I think there was a penalty. He can no longer drive around the town he has lived in since 1968, or get to my sister's house (they have been there since the early 90's) because he gets disorientated and lost.

His doc has started him on Aricept to try to slow the progression. The good news is, that Dad's mom was an extremely happy Alzheimer's sufferer, and it appears Dad is going that way too.

Soooo many spring projects going on at once. Too much for my liking. But getting them done before the warm weather sets in will be a relief. The weather has cooperated lately and has really helped out in making good progress. One big project is the enclosure of the porch with large sliding windows. This will mean no more putting up plastic panels. They came down for the last time this spring. We have been wanting to screen it in for a long time so we can enjoy it more without fighting with the bugs, and decided it was to get done this year. And then we decided if we are going to pay someone to screen it in, we might as well enclose it with large windows and insulate it and make it a true three season porch. No heat source, except the sun. And we removed some trees that were too close to the house and power line, this will allow more solar gain and beautiful light. More expensive for sure. o_O But, there was a 15% off sale on the windows at the time. Going to be nice when done. Lowe’s told us windows will take 4-5 weeks about 4 weeks ago. Yesterday they told my wife they will be here June 5. :picard:So that will be about 8-9 weeks. Everything is taking longer to get that has to do with construction. Oh well, it will be worth the wait. You hoarders have a great day.

Yesterday was quite busy, I got 6 mud kitchens built and once Jen does her finishing touches on them, they can be delivered / picked up.

On Friday, as I passed a gas station I thought, I need to fill the Bronco, its been a while. (fuel gauge hasn't worked since Obama's first term) I drove home a different way, and forgot. Yesterday I took it to the local lumber mill, and on the way home it started chugging. Luckily, I was about 1.5 miles away, and I was able to coast a ways on the downhills, then start it and get back up to speed a few times, and made it home. Didnt even lose its prime! Jen and I discussed the POS right after that, and I am gonna be ditching the Caddy and buying a super fancy new truck. I get about $350 after taxes from work for a vehicle allowance, and our business will pay the rest. I've been looking at used trucks recently, but they are just insane! Gonna start price shopping to order a Ram 2500 megacab Laramie.

Sorry to hear that, but hopefully he takes after his mother. My paternal grandfather, and both of his brothers had dementia. My maternal grandfather had it too. Scares the crap out of me.

Cherry rounds might have exceeded the cart weight capacity. Shut me down early yesterday. I did get more than half of the rounds down from the neighbors side so far. About this many on my side I want to move to this pile. I'm thinking of moving 2 cord of spruce and fir into the barn and getting this on the racks. It will be 3 or 4 years out. More moving of wood than I really want to do.

Were you able to put a strap around the tire and blow the tire back up or is it junk?
