We got a good soaker today The grass is super green now. Now I need to get those ash tree rounds and twigs off of my lawn. This weekend I'm going to burn some saw, splitter and tractor fuel cleaning up those trees
No ban here, but there was an advisory. Surely is lifted but as we got a good soaking that, even if it was only .25"
We got some rain yesterday too. It looks like that system just about stalled but now moving again. Still calling for rain the next few days then back to more normal temps.
Gave in and had my foot and leg x-rayed yesterday. Its really been swelling and hurting. My son and his wife (an RN) were here for a visit. We went for a long walk around our place the other day. That night I almost had to cut my pant leg to get my pants off. Not good. But, it is a bit better this morning.

Dennis, I threw a piece of wood back the end of September. It came back to meet with the end of my pointer finger. It hurt a little and I said some stuff my wife’s never heard in her life. November comes and it is still about three times normal size and don’t bend too good. Had a dr appointment anyway so I asked her what about my finger I think I might have broken back 6 weeks ago. X-ray show I should have done something sooner. The big knuckle is in a few more pieces than should be and now there’s not a lot they can do other than let it finish healing however long it takes. April still double the normal size but it bends better and sometimes in 4 directions. Still hurts like a mutha if I accidentally hit it on anything. I hope that your leg and foot fare better and you have nothing broken in there.
Oh, that doesn't sound good at all and makes me cringe. I've had something like that happen several times but thankfully never that bad.
So just for kicks I tried to outdo myself just minutes ago. I was taking out the fence my wife had around the bird feeding area. It was all chicken wire too. So I was rolling up the last piece, which was short. On ground that slopes down. Got my foot caught and down I went. Scared me too because I heard all sorts of cracking and grinding sounds in my neck. I seem to be okay with just some aching but having that neck surgery less than a year ago is scary. I know I'm held together with titanium but it is screwed into my bones. I'll take it easy over the weekend...
Hopefully you can let your leg get better before you hurt something else and hopefully your neck is fine.
Dennis, please be careful! I know it is a fine line not doing anything and being inside your head or doing work to keep yourself busy (with the potential for injury), so won't tell you to not to be out there working on projects. Hope your leg heals up quickly from whatever the issue is!
All is well for that one, thank you. I surely feel the effects of the fall. I had not mentioned my back but it is worse than my neck. Heat is my friend right now for sure.
I have to keep busy at something else my mind just naturally goes to Judy and the tears flow. Here is the last picture I took of her. I had taken her on a color tour on the golf cart and stopped while crossing the sand to get a couple pictures. Naturally I got one of her. She was looking in the direction of our house.
