Ventured out for a little grocery shopping today and 99 suggested b-fast since the powers in charge lifted some public dining restrictions and restaurants were able to open to 25% capacity. (yeah, 1/4 only! Guess we haven't lost enough businesses yet!)

Anyway, the spot we stopped at had some poly coated spalted maple for trim along the booths. Looked sharp.

But what really grabbed my eye was the old maps on the walls. I'll be there again at that same spot sometime and will grab some phots of them.

Very neat find! That's an oldie. Looks to be 1800s anyway, before they knew the true coastline and scale of the lakes.

We received a bill with a due date that was three days before it was delivered. Needless to say we got an email that the payment was late. This past year was the worst for not getting mail on time.

Sorry you have experienced damage and on top of that, find a new medication that you can tolerate and works for you.

I have to use several vision testing machines every 6 months (last year I had to go in more often though). There is one where the whole side of your face is against a rubber-like (maybe silicone?) material. They were spacing appointments out where they cleaned after the patient used the machine , then let it sit for 30 minutes, then cleaned it again just before the patient set down to the machine (I watched them clean both before and after I used the machine, so know that was the protocol). It was tough to get appointments until they decided to open up on Saturday's. Worked well.

    Verse of the Day
I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Heyy deja vu! Lol. We've only got about 6" total since Sunday so far but this storm just keeps lingering.

Supposed to be near 30 today. Time for this old guy to get out a bucket of water or 4 and wash the truck and jeep in the driveway!

    It's a losing battle in the winter....:picard:

That's the correct tool for quick washes in winter.

The best are the garages that have the drain and a hose bib with fiberglass panels so everything is waterproof.

I washed my truck in the driveway when it was almost 40° the other week. Hot water in a bucket style.

Found something old today. I started doing leather work back in the early 60's. Here is one of the first I made.

Got the bed platform 95% done. Just need to mount the rear false drawer fronts.

Now that it is place I can start on the headboard/cabinet.

Exactly the same procedure here. :handshake:

At any rate, it will not warm up enough for the vehicle's to get their bath today. Maybe tomorrow.

Any suggestions? Dad's wife gave me diamond stud earrings for my 50th (from "both" of them). I dropped one and cannot find it:hair: I heard it click on the laminate floor under my desk.

Was the backing on it? If so, does the other side's backing stick to a magnet? If so try taking a magnet to find the other earring.

    Oh no!

This would be a hands and knees job for me. And a very strong LED light with my str0ng reading glasses on. If I couldn't find it that way, I would then make a sweeping motion with my hand gently rubbing the floor being careful to cover all the area starting with the close and then working to the far.

Best not to have dogs and kids "helping"?

Thanks, it was not on, I was putting them on for the first time :( I just put a strong magnet on the remaining stud and no attraction unfortunately.

Yes yooperdave , I'll have to put the pup out and find a cushion for my knees.
