I came home from work today, took off my boots and laid on the dog bed in front of the stove and fell asleep. My wife woke me up 4 hrs later and said I couldn't stay there all night. I think I could have.

Dog beds in my home are interchangeable, mom, dad, baby, or dogs, comfy for all of us!

It's funny how jealous my two boxers get when I lay on their bed. They come right over and try to reclaim it, even if they just lay on a corner they feel they have a part of it back. I like it, they keep me warm on both sides.

It took me till my 20's to truely appreciate the saying "3 dog night". Atleast I think it means warm kind dogs keeping one warm?

And I have made mistakes (woops, 6 dogs, 6 "mistakes" )where they think human bedding is as comfy as dog beds. Oops.

I hardly think having a dog is a mistake, however, I'm not sure I would want 6 of them. I like the two I got. And that's a good subject, dogs on the bed. My wife says yes and I say no. They both sleep on a heated blanket in our room at night but my wife is always inviting them up. We have different opinions on how to treat them, she would give in to just about anything for their affections. Sore subject with me, nuff said

LOL not 6 dogs at once, 6 altogether over the years. Though there was an overlap with 4 dogs and one cat in the house. You guessed it, the cat ruled   Though some of those dogs acted like cats and I think the cat thought he was a dog

Same here, or should I say nearly the same. The cat rules until it's meal time. The dogs keep the cat in check when the food is being prepared.

that doesn't sound very fair that you can sleep on there bed but they can't sleep on yours. next thing you know they won't be allowed to pee behind the woodpile cause thats were you go.

LOL, only one of the dogs was a mistake   The lil black one on the pet thread. I picked him up off highway near my house but it turns out he was dumped, that was 2006..... The rest of the dogs were absolutely intentional, but having then love blankets and pillows in indeed my fault :emb:

Black ice everywhere this morning. I almost broke my neck just walking out to the garage to get to the ice melt. I probably looked like an astronaut spacewalking the ISS, pulling myself along the fence hand over hand.

Rain all day now with a flood watch on calling for up to 3 inches. Honestly I'd rather it be snow.

I usually dont for rain but today I decided to just work out of the house.. some real nasty accidents out there.

Same here Jeremy. It was just below freezing overnight with low altitude moisture. Everything is glazed over with ice. It will be turning to rain shortly. Accidents all over the place.

Street view. We are on a hill. One guy with 4wd dropped his plow in front of our house to stop him from losing it. The girl in the black car at the top of the screen slid back about 50 ft. sideways until she caught the edge of the road. Our street has not been treated yet, which is surprising as there is a fire station up a few houses. I ended going out with my salt and sand mix and threw it out on the road. We had 4 stuck cars within an hour. I did my civic duty for the day. I had 4 tubes of traction sand at the ready.

Fishin-get the ashes from your wood stove and scatter them all over that icy road! Any who drives on it will appreciate that! Excellent traction source.
