    Grace Moments

    Two wrong notes
    by Linda Buxa

At my daughter’s Christmas concert, she was playing a hymn for everyone to sing along. The program said there were two stanzas to sing. She thought there were three. So when everyone else stopped singing, she played two chords of the third stanza—and quickly stopped.

As we were walking out to the car, she only talked about those two chords—even though she had played four songs that night. I asked, “Why is it that out of all the right notes you played, you only think about the two that you weren’t supposed to play?”

She replied, “Those are the two that people noticed.”

We can understand her reaction, can’t we? We all know that one mistake can ruin our perception of a performance.

So it makes sense that one sin ruined perfection too. All it took was one sin from Adam and Eve and the rest of us were infected. “For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous” (Romans 5:19).

This is why we need Christmas. The baby in the manger came to be fully and completely obedient to his Father—to play all the right notes (without playing extra). Then, after he took the punishment for our failures, he gave us the credit for his performance. Now we are righteous—right with God.

And we can have a Merry Christmas

Caffeine going in. Lots of things to get done today to help the wife out and clean up some downed trees from the last wind storm.

Cut and paste. I use the blows accessory, snipping tool. Jus pull down any corner and then copy. Then in the text of the message right click and paste. Another way is to save to file, name it, then in the FHC message, upload a file box, select the file name and it will insert. Or just copy the picture and paste it. When that one doesn't work, just copy and past into a word document, then copy and paste that into the text. I don't have any issues with Adroid, apple or blows. All easy work arounds. If you want, we can talk on the phone and do a walk through.

[IMG] This is sunrise today at my son's home in Litchfield. His wife takes most all the pictures with her phone.

So I'm trying to turn over a new leaf. I enjoy the scrounge...being in the woods, looking for dead and down, cutting/bucking, getting the timber back to the truck and then home. I do this especially once the roads are ungated in late spring and also September-November (until the roads get closed again). The 'problem' is then I end up with this:

    DSC00902.JPG

What happens once everything is back at home is that (I admit) I somewhat procrastinate about getting the rounds split. The wood is here, it's money in the bank, I'll get to it 'tomorrow.' Granted this was all just finishing up my 21-22 stacks and moving into the 22-23 and beyond wood, however I didn't finish splitting some of this until the end of October. I didn't lose anything to punk however some of it did become ant infested.

So now I am going to try and do better about splitting/stacking what I scrounge in a more expedient timeframe. We'll see how that works out.... But I did get some of what I scrounged last week split this morning.

Got the bathroom officially 100% done yesterday. That feels good.

A few more hours of work left to do this afternoon then I'm off for the next 6 days. The wife and I are heading to the mountains for some some R&R....she's leaving Sunday to meet her brother then I'm heading out first thing Monday to pick her up.
