I like the ladder! And the ceiling looks great! It's so much brighter in there now. I would stay away from florals for the wallpaper, keep the design clean with something simple.

Yes, the fire wasn't too large. I believe it was a bad outlet

Well, I picked a floral wallpaper.  I bought it close to a year ago. It matches the trim. The wildflowers theme goes with the flower gardens here. The Mrs is on board. Has to have a turn of the century look to keep in character with the house. This will go above the wainscoating, so there is not much to paper. My wife found a pair of antique sheep shears yesterday too. There used to be sheep here when it was a farm. I'll hang them on the wall somewhere.

We never can really justify the cost in a lot of things we love. So, if you want them, and can pay for them, well then enjoy! Mush cheaper to have them at home than to eat out. (don't know anyone who is eating out these days!)

Did many people lose power in your area last night? We have never had outages really in the 20 years we have lived here. Between 1998 ice storm, the Halloween big blow in 17, and the freak blizzard last April all the trees are far away from any lines. That said we have ran our generator more in 2020 than when we were building our house and the next 19 years combined. Twice in 5 days this week for a total of 16 hours.

I don't see any dirty glass on Loon's stove and yes the tree went up, now the rest of the house being re arranged.
