25 mph winds and 65 degrees on November 30th means the weber smoky mountain gets fired! 2 whole yard birds going on once the coals get going which in this wind, won't be long.

While it's cooking I'm digging out xmas decor and I may crank out a few rounds in the reloading room.
Update later with food pics but here's some proof that I'm burning something today

What do you do with dehydrated celery? Probably good in soups!

EXACTLY...soups and stews. It is a waste for me to get a whole bunch of celery. Most of it usually goes bad. This way I can use it for cooking when needed. At least I am hoping so. This is my first attempt.

We have so much go bad, it would be nice to dehydrate it before it goes. I have a soup recipe I could use it in. Let us know how it works out.

Will do. The internet said to blanch the celery first or it will turn brown from dehydrating.

Whatever you call it... its d#%8$ good. My wife's family never made them, they just made plain turkey sandwiches with the leftovers... so I had to show 'em how its done... Turkey, mayo, stuffing, cranberry sauce on crusty bread. mmmm mmmm mmmmm

This morning we went out to get the tree, had more thanksgiving sandwiches for lunch, decorated the tree, put up all the outside lights... Now its time for the Pats game then finish off the thanksgiving leftovers for dinner. then the last of the pie... and then catch homeland before bed.

Kid finally on the mend, been stuck home since Tuesday.

Finished wiring up the shed, test fit the new sawbuck (couldn't run the saw while the kids napped), fixed the wood cart and added handles to the wood bucket...

All about making things a little easier once winter starts.

Now hoping for a Pats win, unfortunately only Miller Lite on hand... need a Sam Adams badly!

The high for today was 15 with a pretty good wind. On days like this its an extra good feeling never to use the furnace!

Spent the morning at a woodcut fund raiser for our church school. -1 C, clear and sunny. Four hours is about all we can handle now. campinspecter had a great idea for lunch. Out for Chinese food. We have a great restaurant in town. Now he is napping and I am bookkeeping. think I will go and see how comfy the couch is.

I happen to know that both our couch and loveseat are very comfy.
Loveseat was confirmed yesterday. Took me about an hour and a half to verify.:D
