Thanks, could happen, they said that about the fire I was in 2012 and sure enough were working it again the next spring, but it was fully contained and no crowning/blowing embers by that time. Just so sad to see the only 3 places I've ever lived all have fires and the two previous cities are threatened. Really suspicious they are keeping game units open, here they actually have a map overlay with fire/evacuations etc. of the game units that are closed. Oregon must be looking for $$ like you mentioned. Take good care of you and your's B Speaking of hunting, are you still there ole , and near any of the fires?
[QUOTE="wildwest, post: 1179135, member: 1396" Speaking of hunting, are you still there ole , and near any of the fires?[/QUOTE] I am home. Buddy had some health issues did not kill an elk. Most of the fires in Colorado are north. We did smell smoke down south though.
We had 4 escorts, all dark blue between 80-85 models. One 2 door, a couple of 4doors, and a couple of wagons. Great little cars.
Still miss my 87' (86') Dodge Colt Vista engine by Mitsubishi and all the other brands involved, an early suv with lots of seats and cargo room, and real 4x4. & billb3 .
My uncle lives in Loveland - checking with my mother to see if he is evacuating. Right now they do't have mandatory evacuations, but the winds are supposed to increase again today.
I know the fire out by Fort Collins is now the biggest CO has had. My son sent me a video of Carver the smoke plume.
The video over the lake is on the west side of town (foothills then mountains to the west, plains to the east), Loveland has grown beyond belief, mostly east. Unless he lives in the foothills he should be okay. No new maps on that fire or the Boulder fires, but there's reports they did not grow very much overnight thankfully. I can't imagine they would let it cross over Wilson Rd. That said, the Boulder fire crossed the Old Foothills Hwy Would you ask him about Horsetooth Estates, are they okay or were they mowed down by the fire?
Ok wildwthere gave him a shout out. Will let you know when he gets back to me. Hoping you don't have any family there if it is bad news.
Thanks, my friends and family are not up by the fire, they are east. My girlfriend lives across from the lake in the video, but I cannot imagine they would let it into town. That said the gal that bought our house (now a widow), I do worry about her.
Sorry wildwest , I really liked going to Loveland/Fort Collins. Beautiful area. Sad to see it burning repeatedly like this.
Prayers for our members in Alaska with the earthquake. Check in when you can please. Rope please add other alaskan members names Woodwidow & campinspecter , are you alright over there?
I was thinking the same thing. It shows he was last on on January and I don't see his name as a linkable name.
Yes, it happens to me on a crime website that uses the same software for their platform, and also to WWW here.
