I spent a good part of the day outside, and was able to work in the shade for a good amount of time. I picked up an old brass lamp post fixture a few weeks ago and restored it last week. New sockets, wiring and I made a new brass post socket a's the old one broke of. It will patina over time. The new post is low maintenance and I put an outlet at the base.

Old lamp post that was rusted at ground level, no outlet.

New one. Small project off the list!

I think it looks more in tune with your house than the old one did. Nice job restoring it.

I went to throw coffee grounds in the compost this morning (about 3:30 am), started down the ramp and looked toward the fence gate. Glad I did as there was a skunk inside my fence digging for a meal. I said hi to it, then gave up my mission and went in to get my phone for a pic, but it skeddadled before I got back outside. Glad it didn't leave a calling sign :)

Rain this morning but I have lots of inside projects to do. My larger radishes that I harvested on Friday are really hot but I found if you saute them, the heat disappears. I have been cooking the greens as well. I will have to harvest the rest as they are getting too big and I want to plant more carrots. the buttercup squash is taking over the garden.

No oxygen supplement. Not yet anyway. Still waiting for a date for my pulmonary functions test. This breathing issue wasn't so bad before I had the virus infection in Jan, then the pneumonia in May. Now with CHF. I'm a life long non smoker and didn't work in industry. But I was in VietNam where they sprayed Agent Orange.

You do through the VA I hope. If you go to wamart in the pharmacy area they have o2 readers. Just slip it on your your finger. It will check your pulse and o2 level. My would drop below 88 when I walked and that is when you qualify for o2.

Thank you for the correct name. I blanked on it and for the life of me couldn't think of it.

Yes I have one. For me, it was a tool of my trade. (RN) So far, I don't desaturate during the day, I would drop down into the 60's at night until I got BiPap (same as Cpap but with high and low limits. Cpap is constant. Bipap allows a lower lever so I can exhale. I need that because my setting are very high) My issue seems to be diminished capacity. Lungs are not filling with the volume they need to.

Oh good so I am not saying anything you don't know. What is the difference between my COPD and what you have. I did see a pulmonary doctor after i was already on o2. More to verify my treatment. Never did check me at night. Well a couple years ago I had my first flair and ended up in the hosp. So they probably did when they came around to do vitals.

I have sleep apnea, So a sleep study was done. You go for an overnight stay. They hook up more wires than you can count all over you. There is a harness so if you have to get up to the toilet, you can be disconnected easily. From that, they determined that my oxygen dropped to the 60's and that I stopped breathing 70 times an hour. No wonder I was tired all the time. I was falling asleep every time I sat down for a while.
My lung condition has yet to get a diagnoses. Hard to get an evaluation with the “Bug” situation.

Got the new slings( fabric) on the two lounge chairs. It was a long 4.5 week wait for the slings to arrive after ordering, but they look great.

I also assembled the two extra patio table chairs this morning. You can see one of them on the right, at the end of the table.
