I'm just putting out the irrigation unit today. Don't really need it yet but it is getting close so may as well get ready.

The best way to water and not get all the mildew and fungus is to do the watering in the mornings only.

My son is taking me fishing on a Lake Erie charter boat for Fathers day tomorrow.:thumbs::thumbs:. Good son.
Dug the tacklebox, rods, and reels out of the closet this morning. They use to be on the back porch. Never did find the rod I was looking for but found many more and one reel rod combination that will be ok. Didn't realize I had so many rods. Especially Fly Rods. I counted 6 . That is a lot for just seriously taking up Fly-fishing 3 years ago. I guess my wife is correct. again,, when she asks, "Why do you need another fly rod?"
Went to Drug Mart to get meds for myself and mom. They had some Spectracide Bug Stop on sale for $4.99 per gallon. Don't buy it. I went to use it and the spray attachment doesn't work. Doesn't matter how good the product is if you can't get it out of the jug.
My wife spent the weekend up home visiting her sisters and SHOPPING. Fortunately her sister's don't have a lot of spending money so they went to Goodwill, Amish scratch & dent stores and yard sales. She came home with a Humming bird feeder. That is alright, I like humming birds. She wanted it hug in the middle of the front porch window. Of coarse I was out of skyhooks. Went around our small town looking for those shepherds crooks that you hang baskets on. I didn't want to go to the "Big City" and finally found one at a small front yard produce shop near us. Twenty bucks. I thought it was a little high but wanted one. When I got home this new one was made out of 1/2" stock and not the 3/8" that my others are made out of. I guess it wasn't such a bad deal after all.
Finish weeding around the tomato plants and spreading wood chips around them. Hopefully the last time for weeding them. Peppers and cukes to go yet.

Logging trucks took a load out this afternoon. I guess it dried enough for them to return after a four month absence.

Had another dead ash blow down from the woods into the calf pasture. Doing some CSS while it’s cool.

Well right after Chaz left to go to work, I went up to split. Got the cart on and set up so I could throw splits in it. Etc,etc, etc. And the splitter won't start. Texted Chaz and he doesn't any suggestion. So put everything back under the canopy and now sitting here having a beer. And yes it had gas.

 :rofl:  ROTFLMAO I did that last year but not this year. Checked gas, turned it on, opened the choke and pulled 5 or 6 times. Didn't want to turn over. Turned everything off, sat down got my breath and tried again with same results.

One big sharbark and one giant oak. Oak is probably 40"....and the shagbark is buried under it. The way the crown of the oak is sitting....it looks like a good way to die....way up in the air supported by small trees. Going to wait a while and let gravity do some work on it.
