We saw low 90s yesterday. I test fired the central AC first thing in the morning, and then shut it down. When we came in from the boat it was warm in the house, so I kicked it back on, but no dice. Luckily, I had a spare capacitor for it, so it was a 10 minute fix. Surprised the last one only made it two years. New backup already on order.

same here. It would have been much less than that if not for drastic cooling at night 3-4 days ago. It got quite warm in the house, but then it cooled off nicely and was comfortable by bedtime.

I am going to start on the maple my neighbor dropped this afternoon. I'll have to post pictures. The stump looks pretty bad, and his method for climbing the tree was rather interesting as well. He bought several 5' lengths of threaded rod, and then cut it into ladder rungs. Drilled holes and pounded them into the tree as he climbed up. At least he had a harness.

I think to protest the unjust killing of that poor man in Minneapolis the other day I’m going to “ protest” today by going shopping. I’m going too Grab some 70” TVs and new s sneakers and a couple of iPhone 11s. Then I’ll burn Best Buy down since they are responsible. Shoot I may even block traffic to stop people from going to work. Whose with me?

We'll be back into wood burning this weekend. Going down into the 30"s Saturday and Sunday night and highs only in the low 60"s during the day. Almost 100F with humidity yesterday :picard:

    Is it a dual capacitor?

I did a hack the same as this 15-16 years ago and our central AC has been running flawless since. I have been in this house 20 years and the AC unit was here before me.

Take a look where the old one was made, and the brand.
