I know, jus pickin at'cha... Saturday got me...went and dropped about 10 trees for a friend, he got 3 nice pine saw logs, we got some oak, cherry and a little hickory tree, he drug 3-4 sweet gums to the burn pile. The load we brought home Temps when we got home...wondered why I was whooped...
I'd take your idea of weather as well. I can deal with 90° heat, but I better be in the water if I'm outside.
I confess that was a little inflated as my sensor is shaded on the north side of the house, but it does get a little afternoon sun. It did get into the mid 90's today. The humidity is off too. It was in the mid 70% for a while just before noon and likely closer to 60% when I took the photo. The humidity is what usually inflates our heat. So much water in this part of the world. I was in a relatively swampy part of northern Ontario a few years back, and with the humidex it ranged from 105F at night to 120F during the day for 4 days and 3 nights straight.
I used to work with a guy that would drink vodka cran. It was 3 ice cubes, a chit ton of kettle one, and enough cran to turn it slightly pink. When the waitress would set it down he'd say bring me another just like it. Rinse and repeat 6 or 7 times over dinner....then he'd go "out drinking". That guy was, and still is, an absolute savage.
Busy day today. Went grocery shopping, tilled some in the garden, planted some in the garden, mowed and trimmed the yard, cooked dinner, got the checkbook caught up, and about to call it a day.
No rain this morning so off for our walk. Went down and looked at the garden yesterday. My little broccoli look so vulnerable. I am going to have to make some collars to keep the slugs at bay. Got some weeding down beside the sidewalk and under my rose bushes. The lavender is just about ready to bloom. It smelt wonderful working around it.
