3-6 at the most unless it shifts north by 17 miles, if that happens we'll get 6-12 but nothing like the Watertown area.

The crap weather was rolling in as i was leaving the workhouse. More of a sleat event, but really coming down, visibility was reduced to just a couple/few centerline reflectors for a while.
NOAA says 3-5 inches by morning..be careful out there. Peace.

Went camping this weekend with the Boy Scout troop. We hiked both days along the Hudson palisades up. For the GWB. It is amazing how beautiful that area is, right across the river from Manhattan, the Bronx and Yonkers. You get a real remote feeling walking down by the river, yet you are in sight of NYC. It is also real rich in Revolutionary War history because that is where the British chased Washington through and his army escaped from in the initial days of the revolution.

Anyway I am also the recognized tree id person and I was helping one of the scouts learn tree identification. So one of the other boys comes up with a green, smooth but textured orange sized fruit. I had never seen an Osage Orange but that was my guess, with the caveat that they just don't grow around here. And dammit I pulled out the tree book who I got home and it was one. I wish I was paying attention when he picked it up so I could have gone and found the tree. Now I need to go back and find it somewhere along the bank of the Hudson.

Osage fruit looks like brains. Same pattern/texture. Gross but true.

Good morning, a cool, dark 30 degrees and there'd be SNOW outside!! NOAA indicates 8 degrees tonight!! 3 to 5 inches were called for, It's looking like not more than 2 fell last night.
I'm making ready ready to cover 12 hours at the clinic in Brookville...I've already whined about the the drive, I think. I'll give myself an hour to get down there..gonna' be a looong day.
    Be safe out there. Peace.

He knows he can be a handful... but his actions say it all. Good stuff Jet. A moment you'll remember for a long while.
