Be careful...it's deer season and you don't want to be confused for a buck snorting!

Let's hope he hasn't had anyone giving him a "special" drink.

(For those who have never seen the movie, Jim Carreys character gives his "best friend" a whole lot of ex-lax in his drink to ruin his date with the girl.)

Good evening. "They" say that snow is coming, 2-4 inches by Monday morning, that'll make the drive into Franklin county interesting.,it's only about 30 miles but the hills a twisting roads start just south of me,,I'm what those good people call a 'flatlander"!!

The last of the Pine shoulder season wood just went in the Liberty, that makes 1.22 cord (not face) that we burned so far.

We still have .61 of a cord of Hemlock we're holding back for the spring.

Oh man. The caffeine doesn't seem to be bringing me alive this morning. Almost time to go out and move some more wood. I will have it all moved and finished up today.

Then I will also try to do a little more work on the trail. A set of chains for the back tires would be nice. Here I go again. :picard:

    Whats new?

Finally finished up all the fall projects and put my paintbrushes away for the season.
Finally cleaned out the garage enough to put the trucks inside.
Had the first few fires in the fireplace and the encore.First overnighter last night.

Work has been insane since I got transferred to a new department and doing an all new "job" that I like a lot better. Bunch of folks flew in last week for an event I planned having me at work 10-12 hours a day for a couple weeks.
Trying to keep working on the hobby projects. Got a new airplane and a new helicopter in the works.

I need to sign up for secret Santa :)

Yesterday we kicked off our "winter" season at the airfield. Me and my buddy will drive down there, back our trucks right up to the runway and fly helicopters in the snow all bundled up and using our electrically heated radio transmitters running right off the truck battery. Its a lot of fun actually, nice and quiet just 2-3 of us and the sound of a 13,000rpm screaming 30cc ;) Yesterday we were out, and some hunters showed up to walk the field perimeter with their dogs (we are on conservation land) and I didn't realize the season was open till they started taking shots at something down the far end of the runway!

We flew till dusk then back home in time to fire off the stove and enjoy the homemade lasagna the mrs. had made.

Wow jharkin ! Those fireplaces and that stove look so nice in your house. Very cool man! Sounds like you have been having some fun and will probably be glad to be back to "normal" at work now that the gathering is done. Good work.

Heats on in the shop. Back to workin' on the firewood bin project. All of the bin parts for 2 boxes are done and in the basement now. I thought making a couple rails/ramps, to get the 500 lb loads up and over the door threshold, was gonna be cake...:picard: it's not gonna be... so... everything's going exactly according to plan... :D

I'm taking care of that downed Cherry today which is across an old trail we used for that area, it's a big mess in that area from the wind events of 2013.

Went up to Portland Me, for the daughters brithday on Friday and stayed over night came home yesterday. Got down to 18'F sometime between Friday afternoon and Sunday AM by the weather station memory.

Had a great time in Portland, ate at Demillo's which is this big boat like restaurant on the pier. They also own the lobster shak next door. Course the kids had Lobstah since I was buying, but I have the pick of the meals with Seafood Alfredo, which was great.
