Believe it or not he was in the rim of the pool when we were going to take the winter cover off and he jumped on my arm. I put my finger to my arm and he just climbed right on. I brought him up to the deck and set him on the railing and he stayed there for quite a while.

I got through on the IRS site last night. Sure enough, it's based on MAGI, not AGI. So we will get atleast a little bit. Stupid pass through taxes. They nailed my medicare and medicare D and medicare advantage plan too

Hey Horkn, can I bother you? WWW and kiddo just had to reprime on a long trip home from up north so I went to order this, double checked if it I had the correct engine for that and the guy suggested a fuel filter head rebuild kit. Should I get both the head rebuild kit and the CAT upgrade?

I will defer to those that work on these things and own them for this question.
I'm good at researching and finding products/ solutions at the best prices, but surely someone here has a bit more insight than I do..

    TurboDiesel , brenndatomu and others?

I’m on my 3rd duramax. Only problems I’ve ever had with losing prime has been with wix filters. I’ve changed bleeders but never seemed to cure it. GM or Baldwin filters I’ve never had any problems. Never messed with the remote filters, waste of time and money in my mind and placement is ugly. Dodge and ford guys won’t have a clue.

Actually kinda Isuzu. It is Isuzu designed and built. Boat engine until GM started using it for trucks. Been around a lot longer than the auto use. Was converted to direct injection common rail when GM first talked to them about it. That was the 6.5 heyday disaster as no other option available. Duramax configurations were not finished and tested, still in design stage for updating. Hence first few years of production saw lots of head problems injector problems pressure pump problems etc. Then came emissions. Was lucky enough to drive one of the engineering test trucks in 1999. Had that dialed in at 850 horses with the 6 speed manual. Tires stopped smoking in 4th. Went good but govt had some issues with it.

    That's me...I've never messed a Dmax...they tend to come in a package with a bowtie on the front...so I'm out. :p :D
I've owned 3 GM's in my life...the first one was a C2500 and was a POS beater...the second was a 1500 Suburban, that one I didn't live to regret...too much, the 3rd one I still have, a '95 K3500 GMC and is the single worst automotive purchase/mistake that I've ever made!

    :headbang:

Tread separated from tire, thankfully while they were pretty close to home. He stopped 3 times to check, each time the missing tread was underneath. Anyway bummer, tires are ~ 1/2 worn, but I think 3 years old. Hopefully the tire place has one at similar wear, other wise :emptywallet::emptywallet::emptywallet::emptywallet::emptywallet:

Everything is getting expensive right now, but unexpected expenses are a big bummer.
