Dodged that bullet temporarily! I'm pretty surprised for myself. Jen and I have never spent this much continuous time together, and she hasnt tried to kill me.....yet.

I fixed my trailer light problem. Apparently, trailer wiring prefers to have the ground wire on the truck actually connected to the frame. Now I just need a trailer registration and I can bring the boat to the dealership. Town hall is open, but on lockdown, so I need to find out what kind of hoops I’ll need to jump through.

NH registration is handled by your town, not the RMV. It’s usually super quick and painless. As a result, anything registry related is much less painful as well, as they have less people to deal with.

the town hall set up a drop box outside, I just need to know what they need. I emailed them this morning to ask.

Getting antsy. Hooked up the tiller attachment and made 3 passes in the garden. Finally after 4years it is looking great. I still have about 3 weeks until last frost.
Hooked the charger up to the truck. I got to get it running after 9 months. It has a ground somewhere that drains the battery. Tomorrows job if it isn't raining.

We could use some sunshine. I think one 60 degree day with sun we'll have a pastel of peach blossoms.

This morning I set 2 traps. Already caught a woodchuck. Also planted 50 taters.

That just may be where it goes. Certainly has crossed my mind. Are there commercially available ones?

Those small jump packs are probably one of the best tools to have in your arsenal. The one I have is about the size of a 1" thick smart phone. It will start to to an 8.2 liter gas engine, or a 6.6 liter diesel. Supposedly. I can say it will start a 5.8 liter gas v8 with ease, it only used 2% of charge to do that start from cold. Reviews from other users had awesome stories about jumpstarting a guy's 5.3 gm truck, as well as like 6 other vehicles at MSP airport parking lot during a polar vortex. That unit still had like 60% charge left after helping all of those people.

If you need a bigger capacity one, they make them. Mine was about $70.

Are you diesel burning that stump? I ask because I might do that to the stump I have recently in the yard.

Yup............available at just about every parts store. About a 15-20 dollar item. You just wire it into your positive battery cable. It just flips on and off,

Good long day here. Went to work early for an hour and picked up a bunch of stuff at HD.

First up was getting this gas trimmer straightened out. It was a side of the road find a friend picked up. Put in the Echo gas line kit, removed the string head and installed a brush cutter head. Dumped old gas, and put in fresh, stabilized mix.

This cutter works very well for what it is. Great on canes and bittersweet. Not for anything about a half inch thick. I have so many vines, this works fine. Trimmer ran real nice and quiet. I may get the same kit for my line trimmer which is the same model.

I spent about an hour cutting brush and roping out giant bundles of vines. Anything I could get my rope around got yanked.

Before... this is where I dropped the red pine with vine tangles.

    After...
    20200425_155114.jpg

The pine in the foreground is rotten, the cut rounds behind are not.

I had a 4 hour burn pile going. Best one of the season. Low wind, and the air was not heavy, so it took off well.

Ate lunch at the burn pile. After that, I took the collapsed holz hausen apart and built another rack. Much better and neater. I am at about 5 cord now.

Just a clean up and put the shorts in the barn. I plan on two more half racks to the left.

Tomorrow I plan to build a ramp for the barn.
