Asleep by 7 (or 8) sounds good to me! I don't know how long I could sleep, because my husband wakes me up at 5. I bet I could snooze until 7!
    Hope your laptop bounces back.

Did you notice he got really depressed at first? When we had to have Drake put down Charlie was beside himself. Couldn’t do anything unless you were right there with him. Drake was older so it was all he ever knew from 10 weeks old.

Just a little. Badger is all go, when not inside. So outside you'd never know, but the first few nights you could tell he was looking out to see where his little brother was. They ALWAYS had to be touching at night. They were kind of inseparable. 20190927_123611.jpg

This was from your state in September. Wolf's run, or something like that in Freeport.

Drake was the older more dominant dog and he was a worker, always on 10 and never stopped. Charles is submissive and always had his brother to follow around. This is a picture a few days after.all he did was lay around. He’s now the center of attention and will be 14 June 5th. Days are getting short sadly, he’s been a good dog.

Charles is a very handsome boy.

Have you thought about adding another? I like to think that they imprint from each other, and if you want to carry on behavior, that you need to have one dog training the pup.

Steaks were very good. Drinking the last of my Sprecher special Amber. Then onto the point special lager. It's apparently a "special" night. Lol

We were going to have a fire in the patio fire pit tonight, but it's far too windy. Pretty steady 20-30 mph winds. Hopefully tomorrow night.

Have discussed it but we have had 2 Labs at the same time for over 25 years. Our daughter is in college now. We want to take a break and enjoy some time alone for a while. We ran lots of hunt tests and field trials, have had dogs earn lots of titles, spent hours upon hours training. We enjoyed it but Charlie was a gift from one of our friends. Show bred, not a worker. He’s been great and easy. Likes to take an easy walk in the woods and just sniff around. Big change for us and he holds a special place in our hearts that’s all his own.

I should've done that today. That and find that last lot marker on the edge of the neighbor that doesn't understand where his lot ends. It's an odd shaped lot, so there's actually 2 corner markers in that corner, and the one edge of in the next township. The rest of the markers are easy to find, but this neighbor has been dumping leaves, and fill green his added on garage onto this corner. I have the lot map, and white I can't find the exact spot due to his build up, I know when I see his tractor on my lawn ( there's a small scrub/ shrub line separating lots) or him spraying weeds from my lawn, then u know he clearly doesn't understand where his lot ends.

I've got a nice Garrett metal detector on loan from a friend. I used it and rubbed it to find the metal poles used to mark lots at my wood lot. They used 3/4" rebar at the wood lot, and 1" hollow pipe here in my home lot. It won't go off for a beer can or a penny the way I have it set.

We've done this for over 30 years, waited too long last time:picard:, the elders were waaaaaay to old for a pup and me caring for all 3  We always had 3 or 4 at a time, so the depression was not so bad, but the first one that lost her elder was sad to see :(

I'm a true believer in 2 dogs for people that work. That said I'm home now, next go around we it will be one (both care and vet bills as they age etc.). Yes, they do imprint on each other from what I've seen.

We fought that many times at our previous home. there was marker 40 years ago on the hairpin turn up our road that was long gone...... so the surveyors would estimate and be off 5-20' every time. NOPE, go down the steep canyon and project from telephone pole with the rebar marker!! :picard:

Nice rotti. I have always had Labs since I was a kid, too many to count. They have all fit this description. They have all had their own personalities. They have all had their own quirks. They have all earned that special place. They are all missed. I know you know as well.

I drove a T post in the south west corner front yard years ago because they kept saying our property was theirs... I used an iPad app off all things to find the property line. Pointed the arrow on the screen true north and then off the maps figured out where the line was corresponding to true north and found the dang survey steak in the back yard. It was almost 3 feet down.... NO JOKE.

The property owner next door was beyond pizzed and said I marked her land and that led to me paying a survey company to come out and they said I was correct.

We proceeded to put a very large fence up all the way down the back yard and end the idiocy. She tried to sue us over the fence because here RENTERS would have no yard with a fence there. :loco:  Ummmmm our yard???

Some people just need a lesson in boundaries when their young.:loco: :picard:

    Exactly.
I've found that my dogs don't need to say a single thing, and we understand each other fully.

It will be alright if you follow these steps.

Just go over the laptop with a new and rinsed or very clean and rinsed sponge or cloth of some type of high absorbent material.

Make sure the sponge/cloth is dry and free of any contaminants ….. then sop up all residual spill from the laptop and wring out the gathered whiskey into a clean container Repeat this process until there is nothing left to sop up.

After that, you whiskey will be ready to drink once again. You may notice that it isn't as strong alcohol % as it was last night as letting it be overnight like that will result in natural evaporation process, but the majority of the taste should still be there for you.

Then, get rid of that damm keyboard as it was the cause of your spill in the first place!
