Got home to 55f house! :hair:Fired the pellet stove to get warm quick. I bumped the cord and unplugged it so it had to be reset... Got it working again then went back to cleaning the wood stove. Got the wood stove fired up and shut off the pellet stove. Now it's a nice n toasty 71.5 indoors :Dand a not so nice n toasty cold outside. I'm not looking outside for the temp lol. It's in my sig if your interested! This year no furnace at all soon we will run the pellet stove when gone and the wood when home. The wife is warm and happy tonight so that means I'm happy.

I don't know about her summer. But she has not been on here much the last month. October is Fall! Wood burning weather. Ward. Have you been out gallivanting around and been to busy to talk with us? Oh, wait. Not that definition of gallivanting. This definition of gallivanting. To travel, roam, or move about for pleasure. Oh chit. Now I'm in trouble.:picard:

    Rant alert.

    Dear Ford Engineer,

I'm not an engineer....but I would think that it would be a good idea to NOT put the transmission dipstick under a truck....right next to the catalytic converter...and advise you to check it while its "full hot" with the truck running. The first year on the job for any automobile engineer should be in the shop fixing chit...then they might think twice about designing a truck that requires you to stick your hand into a 4" gap...with a 200* transmission on one side and a 2000* cat on the other. Oh, by the way, there is no such thing as "lifetime" transmission fluid either. I have 75K on my truck and it didn't look too bad, but didn't look like it had 200K left in it either. Put a damm drain plug in the pan too. I'm sure you're smart enough that you can save your $5 somewhere else.

    Have a day.
    -lukem

    End rant.

Anyway...just got done changing the ATF on my F 1 Fitty. Just need to wait for things to get down below 3rd degree burn levels to recheck the fluid.

Yup. By the time I buy the 10 qts or whatever it takes of full syn Tranny fluid, buy a 6 pack, a box of rags, and heat the garage I'm better off paying my tech buddy to use his flush machine. Plug it in, make hose connections, flip switch, drink beer. Usually not that order either ;)

Chevy doesn't even put drains in diffs on half tons anymore.

    Fuggin penny savers.

Btw...know that gm ignition switch recall? Wanna know the "fix"?

Get this...rather than replace it, they plug the hole on your key so u can't put a bunch of chit on keyring to weigh it down!:headbang:

If I can get goin' this morning... :coffee: ... I'm off later to help my son with some elec wiring. Looks like we've avoided more snow in our area. Up north... whew... they're looking at a possible additional dump of 6-8" after 15"-18" earlier this week... wow. News said this morning more than 4000 are still without power from last Sunday/Monday. The Bar Harbor area got hammered with winds/snow causing lots of tree limbs down, with leaves still on em, loaded with snow. The power crews have got their hands full... almost 6 weeks til winter... o_O
