Not hard to do accidentally (or intentionally) if you don't keep a close watch on it.

This past Friday I saw a platinum super duty run a red light. Don't know if he was even a trucklength through the light and an unmarked cop car seemingly came out of nowhere lights flashing.

Just Friday night I passed a lady doing 20 in a 35...I was going 40...and wouldn't you know it, there sits a cop...he pulled out like he was coming for me, but just gave me the stinkeye...never come after me. Whew!

Bald eagle nest in my neighbors woods:

    D6044970-36F0-4252-B756-8BB1ACFAF405.jpeg

About three weeks ago I witnessed an epic bald eagle vs 3 red tailed hawks battle. The single baldy won the fight and recruited a mate to help enlarge the former red tailed hawk nest. The nest is three times bigger. In the pic there is one eagle sitting and the other was off camera. Roughly 300 yards from my woods.

I'd be really, really tempted to buy a much longer focal length +faster lens for my camera than I possess for eagle nest watching. I know what I have isn't really good enough for goshawk [nest] watching.

I've seen cops run red lights without their emergency lights on. I've actually reported illegal driving to their stations if it's been egregious enough. I'm sure those conversations went well when the chief got to talk with them. ;)

They aren’t job hunting much at the moment. We attended their Asian Culture Club dinner Friday night, then afterward I gave the new sixteen year old her rifle.

One of my now retired employees hails from Missouri, and his son participated in 4H shooting in a couple divisions, up to National competition. My local 4 H doesn’t offer shooting sports, as we have no leaders with the interest or a range in out county. If we did, I would assist in sponsoring it through my Office “for the public good” account.

one of my girls is left eye dominant. I am a lefty and purchase LH guns when I find them, and the serve a purpose. She has access to those.

Two splendid weekends in a row. A lot of cutting, with just a little splitting. Yesterday morning we attended our Soil and Water Conservation meeting and breakfast. Had an archeologist speak about the old barns in our county, and why ours are different in other parts of the State. Has to do with emigration and immigration.

Today I stuck close to the property and cut some black and white oak tree tops, and split some big ash rounds that I had cut a few months ago. Feeding the boiler with dead ash until the end of the season.

got some equipment repaired and took it easy before the sunset.

speaking to University students tomorrow- hopeful future city managers. I tell them to slap around their police chief underlings as they wish, but don’t trifle with your local Sheriff. He or she will line you real quick.

Yay on your helpers!! (and you :) ). And my husband is eyeing a LH gun for kiddo. I'll post a pic here soon, WWW says just like this only left handed. Could you clarify left handed like writing vs. LH for eye dominance?

Some of them think they're above the law. Those are the ones that give cops a bad name

I cleaned out ashes front the stove, went for a 3 mile walk with my wife, watched the Bucks win, grilled out shishkebabs, and enjoyed the nice weather today. Not in that order... :)

That's why I reported them. :handshake:. Get enough complaints, hopefully it stops that behavior one way or another.

our little town had a retired cop blow a .26 BAC after the school bus he was driving jumped a curb and kissed a tree!

for the record there were no children on the bus as he was trying to get to the pick up spot
