Shot a deer and got it hung up on the shop. Picked up a load of lumber for a future woodshed. Might go hunting again this evening. TBD.

Working around the house all day, some splittin, a little fire pit action, burning up some punky stuff. Get cleaned up, some dinner and off to watch my girls in their school production of "The Wiz", one is a munchkin/tornado the other the scarecrow, they certainly didn't get their singin and dancin from me.

That is more like "being handed lemons, so you made lemon aid ". A good day would be you hit a big turkey, and there was no damage to your ride. Win win!

I was cleaning up the yard this morning when someone tapped me on the shoulder. Scared the begeebers out of me. This guy said he spoke, but I must not have heard him. Seems he bought the 34 acres across the street.
He is about 50, hunts, and cuts wood. Owns his own business, and has a plow truck. He plans to build a house for him and his wife. He wants to put it way in on that property. Turns out he and I are related to the same cousins, and his wife is related to my sons wife. Small world! He got along with the dogs, told me that when he plows, he'll make sure my driveway isn't plowed in. Said he is not offended to see anyone go to the mail box in their boxer shorts.
I am a happy guy about this. I had feared the property was going to go into a sub division.
Guess I need to go get my hearing checked.

We are still in negotiations :)

Working on the Want/Need of it, because I was gonna buy a new truck this year. After my mower 1.5 yrs ago, I have had to put my truck on the back burner.

I just put $2k into my truck today. Been in the shop getting a laundry list of things done to it. Glad to have it back, but still want that tractor

Funny thing is I have a friend that only recently returned from Asia where he studied martial arts. We were just talking about him.
