No doubt your stove is choochin'!! How much snow did you get so far?
I've heard some stories like that too, heartbreaking! Granted kiddo's cave was in our back yard, call us overprotective or whatever, she was not allowed to go out there with out WWW (since I can't take the cold). Idk Larry, totally different childhood than I grew up in but it is what it is.

I am so sorry you are still under the weather, one bug after another, wash, rinse, repeat:confused:. You would know better than any of us, nutricious food, vitamin D , and keep your sad light on. Heck, just plug it in and turn it on at your desk as your house is a lot like ours, desk, living room and kitchen all near eachother :) Once WWW gets through some more important honey do items here I'm going to ask him to mount mirrors in my laundry room, that is the only east facing window in the whole house and I REALLY MISS direct sun from sunrise!!!!!!
    .
CA and AZ have been draining CO water for years, not cool, they have greener grass than we do :headbang:

Weird here tonight, I signed up all our phones for county emergency alerts. Not that effective because I do not get the warnings, only the "warning has been cancelled" :picard: I called, they could not find the problem. Anyway we both had emergency broadcast noises on our cell phones tonight, of all things warning about snow squalls. 3 of them! I just find it interesting, we get whiteouts out here often and have never had that emergency broadcast sound before (same sound that comes over our phones for Amber Alerts and on antenna stations).

BEST of today ;) Kiddo has seen punching bags on tv and played with us while we held a balloon up for her while he coached her:rofl: . She tied an inflatable mermaid she won at the fair last year to the pull string on our attic door trap and was practicing on it today. She's getting accurate with both left and right fists!!! As well as ducking when it swings back at her!!! I cannot express the joy and love in my heart for this little person. I love my parents, my pets, then met a man I love. I never fathomed how loving a child would change me.

Never did get any oak split. Split some pine rounds. Spent most of the outside time picking up tons of little branches from the wind the other day. Now my back is sore because that's what happens when I try to pick them all in one day. Plus some shingles blew off of mom's house but they're ridge vent shingles and fairly easy to replace and don't have to really be done with any urgency (read: tomorrow unless it is warmer than forecast).

I cannot agree with you more. You really don't know this until you have a child (children) and I would pass this on to those who were married and swore to never have kids. Well, the ones that "slipped" (or whatever reason) and had children would agree whole heartedly afterwards!

It brings a deeper and more true definition to love.

Definitely take your time and take it easy during recover. No sense in stressing your body into relapse.

This winter has been one of strange illnesses at our house too. One set off an arthritis flare in me that lasted two weeks. I can sympathize with how you feel. Rest up and feel better, Larry.

Agreed on all points but such sadness for those with infertility, as my child was a hail mary late life because of infertility. No help or fix available beyond donor egg and we could not afford the $6K/month drugs for me to be able to accept the donor egg much less the $150K fee for an egg... God Blessed Us with conception (once more), again when I carried full term, and once more with a healthy child.

Tomorrow you'll be in Florida then? You must've pulled a good amount of driving today to get to Valdosta.

What a gorgeous dog! That's a portrait pose if I ever saw one. Please don't stress yourself out with long drives. Arthritis feeds on stress, and it has a healthy appetite.

Nothing like 2 hours of cutting, splitting, and loading oak to make me realize just how out of shape I am. Man I'm sure this morning!

It’s cold out dere dis mornin! -15 Getting some caffeine in the form of V-8 Energy. My son and I are getting ready to go workout at 7. I’m going to take it easy today after that, I hope. Spent almost the whole day yesterday cleaning up snow between our place and my parents. But then relaxed after a nice Fish and Macaroni and Cheese dinner my wife made.

Speaking of my parents, I went and had lunch with both of them the other day. Brought them both Jreck’s subs, chips, and a Diet Coke. Visited with them for a while after lunch. Good time. I’ve been trying to go there once a week to have lunch with them. My father has adjusted and there are some good people who work there who are caring for him. :handshake: My Mom is doing well. Goes to the home everyday to go to Mass with him just before lunchtime at the little chapel they have, and then they have lunch together. She stays with him a few hours after lunch and then heads home. :)

I feel pretty good. Haven't unloaded the car yet, but I have to get it out before I drive to Malden. Think I'll just dump it in the driveway for now.
