Ahh. Well then, 2) 30 buck qts of oil will be cheap insurance. I was searching and find it for $28 a qt. There's apparently no like oil to swap, so use the Ford stuff.

From what I hear, that tranny doesn't have a durability issue, it's just not that smooth.

My brother had a rental dct auto focus or was it a fiesta I can't recall, but it had the dct and was a bit jerky. Outside of that it was fine.

I've heard that it's durable, provided you drive it like a manual vehicle, and not like a traditional auto.

Eh, 15 complaints isn't a lot. Those same 15 people probably creeped up at lights like you are not supposed to in a dct. Jerky shifts and shudders I've heard about.

I know it doesn’t seem like a lot, but how many people actually take time to write a complaint. DCTs were primarily. made for race cars and really never work well in passenger cars because most people think they are automatics and drive them that way. My son had a diesel VW with what they called a DSG transmission. It was a DCT and it shifted gears faster than any transmission I’ve ever seen. Seamless shifts in anything other than bumper to bumper traffic. CVTs will be the next problematic transmission that needs to be improved in order to be ready for prime time.

I don't get people that do the creep thing. Drives me nuts. I'ms yelling at them to get up there and just stop dang it! Not like they can ever time it right not to stop with so many lights now being controlled by traffic conditions instead of being timed like they used to be. Now, maybe if your driving in the big city it can be done, but NH ain't got any of those ;)

When I was doing research before buying my 2018 Focus (I first thought I would buy used), the 2011-2015 Fiesta and Focus both were both cars I wouldn't even look at because of transmission issues. Seems like those were hit or miss with the transmissions according to the Ford Focus forum and Car Complaints website.

I believe the lawsuit is close to settlement as long as the court approves.

I can get the oil changed, tires rotated, fluids filled and a good look over for $39 at my local dealership (It is called "the works" service. There is almost always a special/coupon for that.

The only place I’ve seen one of these is on YouTube or other internet sites. Then while up near Harrisville, NY for a basketball game there is one sitting on a trailer in a convenient store parking lot. Nice looking machine/toy.

Uggg. Hope you find it! Is there any way to narrow the pita of deep searching down to less possibilities? Retrace steps, etc?
