wildwest , those well work on an ATV, a truck, etc... Very handy to have. I understand about a big cart mounted charger being not always convenient.

I was off today. With a chest cold, and steady coffee and Advil, I was moving a little slow, but was able to get a portable house set on local lake a few miles away. Ended up seeing 8 pike by noon, took these 3 pike (21", 32" and 31"), and a limit of 20 bluegill. Fish were in the spear hole the entire morning. Including pike chasing sunfish around, and my decoy.

One highlight was a large musky (45" +) taking a swipe at a 23" pike I hooked on the sunfish jig and wax worm. She was in and out at different times when I was reeling up some of the bluegill, until about 10am. The water was clear but she was too fast for me to get the phone out for a picture of her in the hole before it was gone again.

After cleaning all the fish I settled in for 1 hour nap, which is about 40 minutes longer than my typical nap. It really felt good until I had to get up and got the chills.

My wife, 2 boys and I just enjoyed a fish dinner. I am saving a bag of the pike meat for a friend from church who wants to make pickles.

Here's the pigtail for the charger/ maintainer on the new ATV at the cottage.

Easy to get to, yet out of the way.

Thank You Horkn , I'm sorry to :deadhorse: as this has come up before several years ago (another vehicle). I bought the tender, it was loaned out and never came back. I sure would like one to permanently install in the Blaze with a pony tail peeking out the hood or grill or wherever if you could recommend one. Where does the extension cord for electricity go though for a battery tender that used the cigarette lighter?

If your cigarette lighter is " hot" all the time, probably is, you simply plug this..Battery Tender Cigarette Lighter Adaptor - -
Into the lighter socket on your dash, then put the corded end of the plug into the maintainer.. ( any with that same connector which is the standard battery tender connection.)
Schumacher SC1319 1.5A 6/12V Fully Automatic Battery Maintainer
This one is a great brand, and has the cigarette lighter adapter with it. You don't need more than the 1.5 amp $30 one of the battery is good to begin with. It will simply automatically charge and maintain the battery. You can probably just plug the wall cord of the maintainer into an extension cord and close the door of the Blazer on the cord.
Here's the adapter in the Schumacher kit... Screenshot_20200203-215116~2.png

When you want to go somewhere, you simply start the vehicle, then unplug the charger and I'd probably just leave the charger in the cigarette lighter, and lay it on the passenger side floor. When you get back, plug the maintainer back in.

Same thing pretty much for the ATV.. except you use the other pigtail to the right of the cigarette lighter adapter in the pic above. The ring terminal ends go to the respective terminals in the battery.

Done, thank you. No more screwing around stupidly. Should have earlier, trying again.

(the $30 Schumacher with both terminal and cigarette lighter attachments).

Slept in a little this morning. Ran the kids to school early for Jazz Band practice. Breakfast now done and time to move some more dirt. A couple more productive days of moving dirt and I think I’ll be done with this big job and done with this type of work for the rest of the winter. Looks like some snow coming Thursday and Friday.

Just above freezing with wind and rain/sleet coming down this morning. I think we are in for a week of rain again. Played in the sewing room this morning instead of going for a walk. I was making doll shoes. They turned quite well.

Has anyone else noticed the big change in length of days now except me? It seems good.

I just noticed this morning that the sun is coming up earlier.

I am quite happy to sit in the dark and drink my coffee in the morning, with nothing more than the light over the sink on 20' away. Older kid will come downstairs to leave for school and fumble around in the dank trying to find her things rather than turn the light on for some reason. I noticed today that you can see more in the house now.

Yes. It's very good. Seeing the sun a bit the last couple of days has been great too.

I'll try, but it already went to heck. I called someone yesterday to find out if they had wanted to sell their rental property. The guy sounded interested and started telling me about the history and features of the house and properties (2). Then gave me a price and said I was the 2nd person in a month that had asked him.

Well, this SOB calls here three times today. (I leave early in the morning for an appointment and left the house by 4:45....just some background info)Said he talked with his wife and said it is not for sale. OK, it over right? Nope.

Calls back and at some point, 99 spoke with him and he wants my name. She answered I'll have him call you back this afternoon. Then he starts out with his BS saying he can give the phone number to the operator and find out, blah, blah, blah.... and don't call me anymore!

I only called him once! And know you know just why they call them FIB's!!!! I'll find out just what was said to 99 when she gets back. She left a note telling me a little and at the end of the note, she writes "What a JERK!" It takes a lot for her to say something like that.

She just called and said yeah, the guy was rude and once that started, she told him "I'll have him call you". "No, no, that's alright, don't have him call."
