I got in the FJ to go have lunch at kiddos school. It would not go forward. Hit gas a bit harder, back wheel threw some gravel. Tried reverse though I only had a few inches between my bumper and my fence, seemed to go. Tried each of the 5 drive gears, no dice. Loosing my excitement over this ride. Went back into the house and grabbed Blazer keys, crank, craaaank, clicks. FINE, I'll take WWW's truck (I do not like it, water tank blocks rear view mirror and side mirrors are HUGE), went back inside again to grab that keychain (WWW borrowed my truck today because I have a 5th wheel hook up). I swear I feel like a walking mishap. I made the last 10 minutes of her lunch and ate her leftovers :) That little girl is the light of my life, so happy and sweet and kind, how was I so blessed with her?

The storm is moving in, supposed to be a blizzard but not much besides wind and cold and a dusting of snow so far, maybe we'll be on the outskirts.

Sorry, the FJ cruiser reminds me of a Jeep, it was the FJ.

Both states have a Kansas City. Right next to each other.

But more importantly, both Kansas City's serve some of the best BBQ ever!

Dang! The bad luck plague continues! Sounds like a brake is sticking. Did someone engage the parking brake? Typical of the vehicle to move backwards but difficult to move frontwards with stuck brakes.

Thanks! YES!! I was really hoping for that!! (happened a couple times in the Blazer but they were frozen clamped from slush, and we did not have moisture here since the FJ ws moved so I dismissed that thought). YES, and he pulled it TOO tight for my taste (hard to disengage). WOOP WOOP!

Next time we rent a skid steer remind to have WWW build a hill for me to park the Blaze on so I can pop the clutch. Something has been draining the battery for years, we cannot find it. Wasn't a problem when it was driven every day or every few days but it is now because it sits for days or weeks at a time.

Better yet, have WWW install a battery switch which you can flip on and off whenever you want.

Well, that is the thing, Federal Holidays are pretty much about giving government employees days off with pay. I get 6 holidays a year, although also get 4 "floaters" that I can use whenever I want (assuming the boss approves the days). Most places I worked did something similar. When I worked hourly, holidays were what other people got. Production workers still gotta produce - and once again all those minor holidays weren't part of the paid time off (or overtime) work calendar.

There are currently 10 federal holidays. Sounds equal to yours, but you get 4 of them a little different. Nothing wrong with another one for everyone. Right?:D

Was there no e brake light on?

With an automatic, especially if you don't have any trailer behind it, or not on a steep hill, when parked, don't bother to put the e brake on. That's something you'll need to tell hubby. ;)

Lead acid batteries are not great at holding charge. AGM or lithium are much better at that.

Better yet, put it on a battery tender. My mom had to get it beat into her head that her explorer doesn't like to sit for 2 months outside in the polar vortex and just start when she thinks she wants to use it. That changed after the local battery guy had to read her the riot act like 4 times between her old explorer, her snowmobile, and the ATV.

Her new ATV had a tender connection on it, I showed her how to hook it up, and she already had a maintainer on the explorer when I got up by the cottage.

At least the ATV and the Edge are in the garage.

Of all things I just ordered this for the Quad, it was back ordered but should be here any day. I cannot handle the big charger/jumper on wheels. Can I secure the connectors with electrical tape and leave the plug hanging out like a block heater?

    upload_2020-2-3_17-13-16.png

Never Mind, I just logged in a checked, they cancelled my order. Think it might have been a price mistake...............

    You might need this..

    Or this..
    41f3ZZJkt6L._AC_SY400_.jpg

If your maintainer/ charger has the pigtail like that, then you just need to install out, and can leave the end out like a block heater, under the hood, or through the grill. That kit should have one in it, you don't want to leave the alligator clips on except for when it's charging. That way you don't need to open the hood.

Some kits also can charge through the cigarette lighter. Even easier...
