    Is the auger a center drive gear box?, usually the pins match up from side to side...so if the shear bolt is in place on the othe side just line em up.

    Yes, it is, thanks. I already tried that approach also.

    I'm thinking more and more that the auger may have slid just enough to not be able to locate the shear pin/shear pin hole. Sure didn't look like it but geeze! What else can it be? Spooks? :hair:
