It is still a stamped deck. But it has twice the reinforcements as the deck on my old Z665.

That is NOT what I was referring to. Guess it was too early for others to have their minds in the gutter :D. That's okay, I'll let you have another chance.

The deck on my ariens GT is stamped. Yeah fabbed is better, but the deck on my GT is still solid after 35 years. I'll give it a paint job new hi lift blades and spindle bearings before cutting season and it will probably be good for another 35 years. That deck has been used to "mow" the field with small trees in it.

I really like these winter days... sitting near the fire...:fire:... and feeding it dry wood.... really makes the time & effort worthwhile....

I took a load to the neighbor... and was coming out of the driveway... he pops out of the house...and was telling me how well that wood was burning this year... how it catches fire and comes up temperature...:D.. almost brought a tear to my eye and brings that tingly feeling to you... I guess there must be something to that 3year plan....

How’s everyone in this thread? I don’t come in here much because there’s a lot of reading to do if I fall behind. I do miss all of the great stories. Getting ready for Christmas here.

Hi lift blades? Are they like the Gator Blades I have been hearing about? I have been playing with the idea of getting some and making my mower deck a mulching deck.

Gator blades are not as high of lift as the so called high lift blades.

There's supposed high lift gator blades too, but, the more "teeth" the less lift due to less "wing" to pull up the blades of grass.

The Christmas party turned out great this year! We pieced together food/drinks/desserts from different places and he rented a golf course clubhouse for 1/2 what it was at the catered banquet place. We had the whole clubhouse to ourselves, sense of privacy in a comfortable place, kids running around like they owned the place and the extra punch balloons from kiddos bday last summer were a hit   I'm so relieved it turned out so well! Gotta love Amazon and Walmart grocery pick up!!! We usually leave early, we poop out and the band is VERY loud, they can party down, they deserve it.

Doing well here. Everyone is healthy besides a teenager having a nasty cold. But he is getting through it. Vacation coming up soon for me. Everyone healthy and going on vacation. Can’t beat that! Glad you stopped by.

    How about you and yours?
