Our kids had Monday off for the Holiday and today off for staff development day. So luckily they avoided needing to use a snow day today.
Hey. Looks like your area is pretty cold as well up there. Where are your temps suppose to be overnight?
I drove into -1f this morning and it is already colder now than it was at this time last night. I'm thinking slightly below zero with out having to drive into it.....meaning I'm staying home tomorrow morning! Ended up with just over 14" since overnight Sunday to Tuesday morning...….in addition to what was on the ground already. It's 4f right now.
Weather guessers called for 6-8 inches here last night, so I hooked up the plow after work, got out of bed early, look outside.. Maybe 3 inches. Back to bed.
He!!, you can call me a "Cayankee". Born in Penna., raised in N.J. and transplanted to Canuckland. I'm like horse chit, spread all over the corral.....
Got about 2" last night. It was 15 here all day with a wicked NW wind. Down to 9 right now, supposedly on it's way to -2 later tonight.
They are saying about 8 for a low overnight here. Which means it will probably be a little lower than that at my house.
As they say up here "Giday' folks, welcome to the Ottawa Valley where men are men and sheep are afraid. Home to whores and hockey players, EH!!!!!
22° going down to 17°f by morning. That’ll be the coldest day so far this fall. It was supposed to snow today but we only got a few flurries. Nice and warm in the house with maple in the stove.
Sunday, it was a night to have a bonfire. Two of them. Actually what happened was I wanted to try out my old splitting log turned Swedish Candle. This thing wasn’t pristine at all, I just decided on cutting through it deep and left it at that. Lots of fatwood chunks on both sides and it got going pretty well despite being so rotten all around. I built a smaller fire in front of that to keep it warmer then later just laid the log down on top. Having a bunch of Doug Fir out back in rounds, I’m likely to experiment a bit more with this. Hopefully get the bark off a few beforehand. Would make a lot better difference in the end result. Termites just love that wood if it stays damp enough, you’ll just see their work on the bark underside. At that point, it’s hard to bring it inside later, invites too much mess later if the bugs tunnel more.
Up and at em. Caffeine going in. My son and I are doing a quick workout this morning before he gets ready for school. I’m suppose to be !
Sloooooowwwwwwww. Looked at 2000 on the net. Lol! Gotta get him out of the house first. He smoked too long and likes AC.
I dont envy the Presque Isle trip! I haven't made it out of my hotel room yet, something I ate last night didnt agree with me.
