Just shoveled a path of 3" of the white stuff off the deck... I thought Giz was gonna lose her mind in the snow...
Ha... the sport of moving snow by hand, is not a fav of mine either. The older I get, gravity is turned up... shovel load weighs at least 100 lbs now...
Good morning all. Nobody awake yet? After the storm we had yesterday, it seems calmer and drier out there this morning. Headed out for our walk and then get ready for work for the week.
Many are up and probably dealing with the snow. Looks like we have between 8-10 inches anyway. I’ve been out to plug in the 310J and do a little shoveling but am now back in to finish my caffeine and let the engine warm up on the Loader Backhoe. Hope you have a good day at work Woodwidow. Tell Alan hello from FHC.
Time to pack and head out for a few days in Maine visiting customers. Its gonna get cold the next few nights. Looks like my wifes stovemanship will be tested!
I well remember when I had not been hunting that long and got my first buck. Boy was I happy. Then I realized that I was around 2 miles from camp. We had just gotten 12" of snow so the pull wasn't too hard except going up those darned hills. I sweat; boy how I sweat. I started dreaming of how good that beer was going to taste when I got to camp. I opened one and had to spit it out. Danged stuff was skunky... I was reduced to drinking water. What a celebration... yooperdave, that was south of Shingleton.
I did that area yesterday, heading to Presque Isle tomorrow. Supposed to be in Rangeley today but postponed because of the snow, sleet, freezing rain mix just isn't fun,
Couldn't stand being inside all day. I don't see how you yankees do it so long. I went out to cut up a standing dead cedar that's been bugging me. I brought it back and split a little to do a test burn on it. It's probably been dead for five or more years. Instant ignition and burning hot. I'm glad I split it small. Hey Rottiman. There are a lot of Canadian folks in this park. I borrowed internet from a couple across the street. Mine won’t be hooked up til December 7th. I tried to pay them but they declined. I would like to get them a gift card. Any suggestions as to what they would like or could use?
hockey pucks or sticks, a case of Blue, poutine or if they are from Quebec, some Joe Louis's and a case of Pepsi......................
Hey, rottiman, can I call Canadians "Arctic yankees"? All in good fun, of course. I was raised a regular yankee. Sent from my LML212VL using Tapatalk
